Now, I don't claim to be a skincare expert. Quite the opposite, in fact - I have neither the knowledge or the motivation to be arsed concocting a pure regime. Until recently, all's I've bothered with is a bit of cleanser and some babywipes [don't hate me for the wipes, k #poorpeople'sprobz.] But I recently discovered a skincare product which has well and truly rocked my world, so I thought I'd share this minor miracle with you guys.

Here it is. The apple of my eye. Vichy Normaderm Beautifying Anti-Blemish Care Cream, rrp around £14.50 [although, it's actually on offer at Boots here with 25% off at the moment.] This life saving cream is designed for adult, blemish prone skin and works to banish blemishes, colour marks, dodgy pores, recurrent shine & dull complexions [all of which are pretty much my face in a nutshell.] It's also proven to be effective in dealing with hormonal imperfections [e.g. the raging breakouts many of us experience around that time of the month.]

It's a little more pricey than anything I've ever bought skincare-wise before [or anything at all I've ever purchased beauty-wise, due to my pretty apparent poverty probz] but it's one of those things that's really worth it. The formula is light and creamy; a little goes a long way, meaning the bottle has lasted me for a number of weeks now. Fragrance wise, it smells like cucumbers and spa days; instantly energising your skin on application.

Legit right, my skin looks at least a trillion times more alive and a bzillion times less grey / sallow since I've started using Normaderm these past few weeks. My breakouts have become a thing of the past and my complexion looks more even than it has done in years. My make-up free face still horrifies me / shocks me to the bone, but the fright I get when I look at my fresh face in the mirror is so much less than it used to be. Yes, my skin still isn't perfect and my fod is still just as much of an oily delight as ever, but I can seriously hand-on-heart vouch that this product has dramatically reduced my hormonal breakdowns and even my shiny fod has chilled it's beans since being introduced to Normaderm.

Have you ever tried any of the Normaderm range? Do you have any recommendations on other products I should try, or other Vichy products that work wonders for you?

Sorry, I couldn't decide which pun I preferred for the title of this post - so I greedily went ahead and used both. Pun city, population me.

Getting back to it - I need to announce that
my chin is massive. Just putting that out there. I saw a photo of myself the other day where I had what can only be described as JOWLS. Although it was HILAR and I howled and howled with laughter, I have no immediate plans to become a jowl master general - so I was super happy when the lovely Paige at ChinUp Mask contacted me and asked if I'd like to try their 30 minute Non-surgical Facelift Mask*. If you're as curious as I was to find out more about how this works, keep reading - you're in for a TREAT with the photos to come!

What it does

The ChinUp Mask is said to provide a revolutionary 30 Minute Facelift.

It:

- Lifts and firms the lower part of your face to contour your jawline,
- Promotes facial blood circulation,
- Hydrates and moisturises the skin on the chin area,
- Reduces fat on the chin,
- Uses natural ingredients [such as fruit extract] which keeps the skin healthy.

What you get

In my pack, I received:

- 2 x Masks

- 1 x ChinUp Slimming Band

- 1 x Tape Measure, to compare your before and after chin size

The Process

It's dead easy to use these bad boys [and the process is guaranteed to make you laugh, at least once.] You simply wash and dry your skin, apply a ChinUp Mask to your face & neck, put on the ChinUp Slimming Band [the hilarious bit] and leave it all to soak in / work its magic for 30 - 40 minutes. After this time, gently remove the band & mask and massage any remaining product into the skin.

ChinUp advise that the effects will last for several days however, they recommend that you use a mask every other day to achieve further improved results.

Before / During

- Using the tape measure supplied, I worked out that from ear to ear, my average chin size was 30cm, pre mask.

- With my chin pointing downwards [and my sexy jowls all squished together] from ear to ear, my average chin size was 33cm, pre mask.

Brace yourself for the photos to come. Like, I can't cope - I crack up laughing at them each time. Chin straps, jowls and all; here's photographic evidence of my ChinUp experience.

(LOL!!!! As if the day has come where I'm okay with putting this on the internet)

After

I remeasured my chin after removing the mask, and was really surprised at how effectively it had worked in just 30 minutes. It did begin to feel like my chin was on fire the longer I left the mask on, however, a bit of a hot sensation is normal and my skin was revealed to be smooth and blemish free when I took the mask off. There was no burning and / or fires present on my face.

- Using the tape measure supplied, I worked out that from ear to ear, my average chin size is now 27cm, post mask.

- With my chin pointing downwards [and my sexy jowls all squished together] from ear to ear, my average chin size is now 30cm, post mask.

So.. I lost 3cm from my chin area in just 30 minutes!! Impressive stuff, huh? See if you can tell the difference in the photos below - I definitely can, especially in the jowl department. I don't have half as many rolls to squish!!

I'd definitely recommend ChinUp masks to anyone wanting to slim down their chin & jaw area without surgery - they're the perfect product to pamper yourself with pre-night out / before a date / before drinks with the girls; so your chin looks good from all angles on your selfies!

*This post contains items I was gifted for the purpose of review. However, all opinions are very much my own - I wouldn't lie to you guys, as it's not big and it's not clever. Plus, I have a tape measure this time - numbers don't lie!!

Catch Up | Life Lately

by Nikki LLL Blog, June 11, 2016

Aite guys! Apologies that I've been a bit quiet on the old blog and Twitter recently. I'd lie and say it's been because I've been doing legit life things with other humans, but in reality, I've just been spending a lot of quality time with bourbon biscuits, my duvet, trashy magazines and rummaging around B&M Bargains.

On the plus side, all this time of procrastinating and being a general bellend who never gets anything done has meant that I've had time to make a Snapchat account dedicated to the blog. So now I can vlog, ramble and unbox away to my heart's content, without getting confused chat messages from lads I went to Uni with, asking me if there's something wrong with me and why I'm talking to myself on camera. My Snapchat username is love_lippy - let's be mates. Leave your usernames in the comments below, or suggestions of the names of people you think I should follow.

In other news, I've rediscovered my love for Primark again recently [though let's face it, this love never actually died, I've just been too lazy / poor to be arsed going] and have gone a bit wild. My life is now pure filled with candles, sunnies, boho jewellery and false nails - none of which broke the bank. Ive been plastering shots of them all over Instagram, and at some point I won't be as much of a #badblogger and will post about them too. Honest, like.

Anyway, I've got to dash. I'm going to an engagement party tonight. I don't really know either of the engagees, or many people there properly so I'd better brush my hair and pre-drink the living sh*t out of this bottle of wine to make me seem more socially acceptable.

Got to be honest, I didn't expect to be writing this post so soon. It was only the other week I was celebrating my Blogaversary and other minor milestones, and then WAPOW - I hit the 3,000 followers mark on Twitter. I'm pure buzzing about it, like - so thanks guys!

Anyway, given how much you all seemed to like the Hello Kitty OPI set from my last giveaway, I figured I'd keep with the OPI theme - so as a thank you for helping me reach yet another milestone, one lucky reader will win this OPI All Stars 10 pack of mini nail polishes, worth £25.

There's some proper gorgeous shades in the pack - ideal for summer and the perfect size to pack in your case for holiday. And it could be you unwrapping this in the post, soon.

Alls you have to do to enter is scroll down to the Rafflecopter widget below and get entering! You can also retweet my pinned tweet on Twitter to bag yourself an extra entry. Good luck and thanks for helping me hit the 3k mark - here's to 4k!! :}
