I've got right into skincare in 2018; which was something I didn't see coming, but that I've actually REALLY enjoyed. I know the difference between scientific-sounding ingredients now, which products I should reach to depending on my skin ailment, how to tackle breakouts effectively, brands I'd recommend to others & what I'm looking for in a good skincare solution.
My skincare regime has evolved from babywipes & a bit of moisturiser; to a carefully practised routine of cleansing, exfoliating, toning, refining my skin with serums & moisturising later on in the evening before bed. I've ALMOST become a functioning adult, though I have to hold my hands up and admit that I still forget to take my makeup off after a few bevvys and normally wake up with it smeared across the pillows.
My baes at Wizard recently offered me the chance to trial out what is the most luxurious skincare item I've ever had the pleasure of owning; which is this, the W=Hb² La Formula Secréte Power Duo Face Serum*. OBV I leapt at the chance, being a new skincare addict, and this stuff is every bit as amazing as I'd hoped, dreamed of, and as its BEAUTIFUL packaging lead me to believe.
From that insane packaging alone, I just knew this serum was going to be luxurious AF. It was packaged so beautifully in a presentation box when it arrived too - all wrapped up like a posh ass gift; which pretty much made me DIE. I love attention to detail and beautiful finishing touches with PR send-outs, Wizard obviously slaying this as much as they slay the coverage they secure for the brands they represent.
Everything about the design of the bottle of serum is just perfect. The fact it's two serums in one in such a sleek bottle is a design feat in itself. It's minimal, chic, classy and with rose gold detailing which obv ranks extremely highly with this basic betch over here 🙋
The W=Hb² La Formula Secréte Power Duo Face Serum feels incredible on ya skin. The power & potent ingredients of the duo leave your skin feeling incredibly revitalised - and similar to the effects of retinol; all tingly, stimulated and with feelings of improved circulation. I can't describe it that well myself - and most of my adjectives [tingly and stimulated] sound proper filthy - but it's legit a miracle in a bottle for your complexion.
It's not sticky or tacky - nor does it gloop up into little bitty blobs on your skin; it's just silky, quickly absorbed and instantly packs a punch. My skin is visibly more refined, less oily and brighter since incorporating this stuff into my evening routine. For real.
According to the website, for best results, you should use the duo twice a day, morning and evening on cleansed skin. Although I will raise my hand and admit I only typically use it in my more intense skincare ritual before bed; and I've still had fantastic results / this seems to be a pattern that works for me.
I apply one pump of Phase I and gently massage it into my face until it's absorbed. Once it has, apply one pump of Phase II and repeat. There isn't much difference in the consistency of Phase I and Phase II; if anything, I guess Phase II is slightly more watery. But they feel very similar to apply, though working on different tasks.
The whole experience in trying this lux serum & brand for the first time has been UP THERE. I am a budget gal through and through, but if you're into your skincare & want a serum with proven results when it comes to boosting ya brightness / complexion, then I'd definitely recommend trying it.
It's been one of those perfect, almost magical experiences in luxury skincare that makes me wanna try more high-end and pricy products. I have a feeling if I dared pursue this life choice however, all banks in the UK would block me forever.
It's okay tho huns - for now, I've still got plenty left & my skin is looking radiant and the clearest I've seen it in a long time, so we good. But it is something I would risk being locked out for; the passion is strong.
