I love thinking outside the box with my Christmas Gifts. There's something really special about unwrapping a pressie from under the tree that you can tell has been bought with you in mind. Not just another default gift, like a Selection Box [though personally, I would still be made up with that, tbh] - but something special & relevant to you, which you can tell the other person has put thought into. It doesn't have to be big, over the top or cost a lot of money [it might even be handmade!] - the only criteria for the gift is that it will light a loved one's face up with surprise and [hopefully] joy. That feeling right there - that's my end goal when Christmas Shopping for my loved ones.

I also love supporting independent businesses when it comes to the festive season - not only do I know that my money is going towards helping someone build their dream & not into the pocket of some conglomerate, but it also means that there's pretty much no chance that someone else will buy the same gifts as me. Plus, with the majority being online, it means I can snuggle up under my duvet with a brew and avoid crazy Christmas Shoppers, rain and the cold.

I'll be sharing some of my fave independent / little known stores & gift ideas with you over the next few weeks [such as this post featuring Quaint Charms Jewellery, who sell on Etsy] - and this post is one of them. Today's focus is on a company called BeArty, who sell paintings, posters, wall art, canvases and prints; created & designed by a global network of talented artists. No matter what your interest or passion, BeArty has a piece of artwork to reflect it - and what can be more personal than that?

BeArty is an online art marketplace which allows you to shop the creations of artists from around the world. All their art is curated, to ensure that only the best art is presented - and they have over 30 categories of designs to choose from, including typography [I love a good quote, me!], fashion, film & TV, animals and celebrities. For the purpose of this post, BeArty very kindly sent me this beautiful print called Chanel 2*, by talented artist Mark Ashkenazi. Price wise, this little beauty starts at just £12.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - BeArty Chanel No.2 Print Poster by MarkAshkenazi

This colourful illustration by artist Mark Ashkenazi is a fab pop art take on the iconic Chanel No.5 perfume bottle. The carefully picked colours show the richness the traditional perfume of Chanel has to offer. And of course, it's the perfect gift for a beauty blogger / makeup addict!

Lovelaughslipstick blog - BeArty Chanel No.2 Print Poster by MarkAshkenazi

BeArty's unframed, gallery quality posters are printed on 230g/m² white paper with a matte surface. Each print has a 2.5cm white border for framing and is printed in the UK using the latest Ultrachrome machinery. This printing technique offers the highest quality and most fade-proof printing available. BeArty print at 1440dpi to obtain beautifully clear images, and pigment inks that are lightfast for up to 100 years. All shipped to your front door rolled in a tube, ready for you to mount or frame.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - BeArty Chanel No.2 Print Poster by MarkAshkenazi

I haven't framed my print yet, as I'm working on a new workspace and was thinking of hanging it with pegs off a clothes line type arrangement. Alternatively, there's a heap of stores on eBay or Etsy who sell stylish, modern frames for just a few quid each. If i wasn't 100% keeping this gorgeous piece of art for myself, I would frame it ready to wrap as a gift, to give it that finishing touch. But it's mine, all mine #SozNotSoz

Buying artwork for someone as a gift is so personal; it allows them to express their passion[s] through creativity and stamp their personality throughout their living space once it is hung. It also means that they'll be reminded of you each time they look at it, which is a lovely festive gesture indeed :}

How's your Christmas Shopping going? Which print on BeArty's website is your favourite? Do any of you creative sorts have any inspo / suggestions on how I can hang this print in my new workspace?

It's officially the countdown to Christmas. Black Friday & Cyber Monday have been & passed, the world has gone mad for a bargain and a few [overly keen, if you ask me] stores are beasting out the Christmas anthems already. The Christmas trees are up, the dark evenings are brightened by twinkly lights and the annual Christmas Markets spring up in our city centres. And of course, as well as making our own Christmas Lists for Santa, we also need to start thinking of what to gift our friends and family.

All this aside - don't worry if you haven't started your Christmas Shopping just yet; there's still plenty of time to go and I have a zillion blog posts lined up over the next few weeks to give you a bit of Christmas Gift inspo. Including this one - all about the fab new gift sets So..? have released for Christmas 2016.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - So...? Christmas 2016 fragrance gift sets, the perfect stocking filler

So...? very kindly sent me some of their new purse-friendly fragrance sets for me to share with you guys. If you've read my blog before, seen my [rambling] tweets or perhaps watch my hilarious life unfold over on Snapchat; you'll know I'm mad for a bargain. Even more so at Christmas! So these affordable gift sets from So...? tick every box and more for me. They literally make the perfect stocking fillers

Lovelaughslipstick blog - So...? Christmas 2016 fragrance gift sets, the perfect stocking filler

I love So...?'s fragrances and the affordability of their ranges. Their range of perfumes have been around for as long as I can remember; scents such as So...? Kiss Me being a pretty iconic one for me. They've continued to evolve with the times and develop new products [such as these fab body mists] but something which hasn't changed is their value for money. With everything in the Christmas 2016 gift sets retailing for under £10 [most at around a fiver] you're getting one helluva good deal.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - So...? Christmas 2016 fragrance gift sets, the perfect stocking filler

Stocking Filler #1 - So...? Perfect Duo Set*, £5 [available in the fragrances So...? Exclusive, So...? Kiss Me and So...?]

I opted for this set in the So...? Exclusive fragrance, as I loved the look of the packaging and I've never actually tried this scent before [which is shocking, given how much of an addict I am!] The box reminds me of a few other popular perfumes on the market [but without the ridiculous price tag!] and the gold adds a splash of sophistication.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - So...? Christmas 2016 fragrance gift sets, the perfect stocking filler

The set contains a 30ml eau de toilette So...? Exclusive fragrance and a 75ml body spray - which can each be used on their own, or layered up to keep you smelling gorgeous right throughout the festive season. Fragrance wise - it's really lovely! I'm not great at describing perfume; but I'd say this is like, a musky, fruity, spicy scent - with a zingy citrus edge. And for just £5, it's insanely good value.

Stocking Filler #2 - So...? Pretty In Pink Set*, £6 [available in the fragrances So...? Kiss Me and So...? Sinful]

This is the perfect gift set for any girly girl - the pink nail paint in this trio is a gorgeous shade - plus the perfume and mini body spray are the perfect size to pop in your clutch on a night out. The fact that it's just £6 for the whole set is crazy [but crazy good for us, right?!] Can we also mention the fact that the shade of nail polish in this set is called 'Stay Sassy'? #SassQueen #OnPoint

Lovelaughslipstick blog - So...? Christmas 2016 fragrance gift sets, the perfect stocking filler

I love how co-ordinated this little set is. Inside [as pictured above] you get a 30ml bottle of So...? eau de toilette, a 15ml mini body spray and a 14ml nail polish. So...? Sinful is a lovely, sweet vanilla scent; which reminds me of Christmases past and old friends.

Stocking Filler #3 - So...? Perfect Duo*, £5  [available in the fragrances So...? Exclusive, So...? Kiss Me and So...?]

I love So...? Kiss Me. It's a fragrance I've never grown tired of; an old classic which reminds me of countless happy memories. I picked this up in a Perfect Duo - the same set as the So...? Exclusive duo I featured above. I think everyone's smelt this scent at some point - I know I used to bathe myself in it every time I entered Superdrug

Lovelaughslipstick blog - So...? Christmas 2016 fragrance gift sets, the perfect stocking filler

It's hard to describe its scent ... it's quite sweet, almost magical; with a faint blast of coconut, maybe? I guess specifics aside, all I need to say is that it smells gorgeous and is one of my favourite So...? fragrances of all time. A stocking filler well worth grabbing.

/

These are just a few of the fab, festive gift sets that So...? have out this Christmas - they have other options available too though, if you fancy a stalk; the So...? Couture set [£6], the So...? Pucker Up set [£6 and which contains three mini handbag sprays and three cute lipbalms], the So...? Divine set [£10], the So...? Trio set [£8] and the So...? Minis Galore set [£5.]

You can shop So...? at Superdrug, Boots, Sainsbury's & Asda - and if you hurry, you might be able to take advantage of some of their fab Christmas / Black Friday offers and grab these stocking fillers even cheaper!

Lovelaughslipstick blog - The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

Bloody hell, this is asking a lot! Everything I own [give or take a few splurge items] is on the inexpensive side of life ... the cheapest items are probably unbranded nail polishes I've picked up or the makeup bits I've bought from Born Pretty... ridiculously cheap prices in dollars + free shipping = a conversion even I can cope with. Expensive wise, I'm really not sure. I have a Morphe palette and a few bits from Mac... but I'm not one to splurge on beauty stuff. Purely cos I can't afford too. #PovertyProbs

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Erm, I'm not really one of those sitting on the fence type people. I either love something, or hate it. For example, I bloody LOVE LashUnlimited's #9 lashes and won't be seen outside in daylight without a pair. However, something I hate [and which there's no coming back from] is Younique's 3D Lash Mascara or whatever the sh*t it's called - it looked like a million baby spiders had laid down and died around my eyes when I tried it. Don't fall for the hype, save your money and invest it in something worthwhile; such as Bourbon Biscuits

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

I don't tend to eat my beauty products soz, no matter how poor I get.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

Haha, what DON'T I neglect due to laziness? That would be an easier question to answer. I'm a serial hairbrush dodger, does that count? Messy bun, get stuff done - that's my motto. Other than that, I'm pretty bad for forgetting to take my makeup off at night. Once I'm all nice and cosy in bed, hell nor high water will make me move.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

Probably a good set of falsies - I love lashes, me. The eyes are the windows to the soul and all that, so I like to frame mine with a dramatic pair of fluttery curtains and a load of mascara.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Being funny, reliable, taller than me and not smelling like sh*te. I also frigging love tattoos. But yeno, it's not a deal breaker.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I'd like some new bath towels and a kettle / toaster set, plz. Thanks for asking. Oh and the ABH Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette.

Christmas is almost upon us. Can you cope?! Cos I'm not sure that I can.

Our exposure to actual sunlight during the festive season is decreasing as the nights draw in earlier [boooo] and [if you're anything like me] our desires to eat all the food is about to rapidly increase [helloooooo, turkey!] I can safely say that for Christmas 2016, I'll be getting paler and fatter. But that's okay, as I've found a product from Skinny Tan which will disguise this annual tradition rather nicely.

Lovelaughslipstick Blog Skinny Tan Fake Tan Review

If you haven't heard of them before, Skinny Tan produce the first self-tanner to combine a natural tanning active with naturally derived skin smoothing actives; which tan, contour and reduce the visible appearance of cellulite! The results are instant and last for up to 7 days, and the products themselves are each made from naturally derived tanning actives - so no nasties. They also appeared on Dragon's Den - which is amazinggggg!

Lovelaughslipstick Blog Skinny Tan Fake Tan Review

Skinny Tan very kindly sent me their new Skinny Tan and Tone Oil* [rrp £24.99] to try out.

Life's so much better with a tan, amiright? I've taken it upon myself this year to try out a few different brands, to pick out the very best of the best [keep your eyes peeled for the concluding post!] And guys, this stuff is RIGHT up there. It's brilliant! 'Skinny Tan and Tone Oil is the natural, hydrating, quick and easy way to a streak free tan that looks so natural no-one will ever know you are faking it.  No orange, no streaking and NO skin-drying chemicals.

Apply after the shower with a quick spritz and the soft as silk non-sticky deliciously scented oil formula will add an instant glow.   Leave to develop into a golden, dewy medium tan that lasts for weeks.  And because it doesn't dry your skin Skinny Tan Oil can be layered on to darken your tan or maintain your colour.  Its easy and fool-proof because its literally IMPOSSIBLE to streak.

This super concentrated formula comes in a compact 100 ml size large enough to do 4-6 full body applications but small enough to pop into your handbag or luggage. Perfect to Spritz, Glow and Go! Skinny Tan Oil is paraben-free, cruelty-free and suitable for vegans!' And of course, perfect for Christmas!

Lovelaughslipstick Blog Skinny Tan Fake Tan Review

As you may have been able to tell from the excitement that popped out in the paragraphs above, I LOVE this stuff. Like legit, it's incredible. I've never tried a tanning oil before - I've only ever experienced mousse, foam, wipe, in shower and spray tans [yeah, my obsession runs pretty deep...] but it's so, so easy to apply and makes your skin feel unreal

I love the fact that it applies with a stain, so you're instantly left looking bronzed - plus this feature makes application so SO much easier - it's impossible to miss a spot. The colour develops naturally, streak free and isn't at all drying - you know how sometimes, fake tan can pure cling to dry patches of skin? Not this bad boy. True to its name, it defo made my thigh dimples a lot less noticeable, too #IsThereAnythingItCantDo?

And the best bit? IT DOESN'T STINK. It smells like coconuts, cake and summer - a smell you don't actually mind inhaling; as opposed to the old school biscuit aroma which used to follow me around. I've been won over by Skinny Tan and I can't wait to try out more of their range. Totes going on my Christmas List.

Lovelaughslipstick Blog Skinny Tan Fake Tan Review

I can't recommend this stuff enough. If you want to grab a slice of the action [which you totes should] you can buy Skinny Tan via their website [they've always got tons of offers on! Especially today, with it being Black Friday!] or at Superdrug, too. Granted, it's slightly more than I'd normally fork out for a fake tan - but it's 100% worth it.

Have you tried any of Skinny Tan's products before? What's your favourite fake tanning product?

*This post contains an item I was gifted for the purpose of review, but as always, all opinions are totes my own.
I am a false lash obsesso. I rarely leave the house without applying a pair - it just feels wrong to let other humans suffer the burden of my face without them!

I'm sure you've heard that old saying 'the eyes are the windows to your soul', right? Well. I like to frame my windows with a fluttery and dramatic pair of curtains [you see where I'm going with this clumsy metaphor, right?!] I love lashes - the longer the better.

I'm not blessed with naturally amazing eyelashes, so I have to fake it until I make it. I've tried everything in my quest for killer lashes - from booster serums [this HD Beauty one is pretty good], to having a LVL Lash treatment [which is amazing, btw] to that Younique Mascara that's supposed to work minor miracles [spoiler alert - it doesn't.] So for a short term, fluttery fix, I always reach for a pack of false lashes.

I know there's more permanent solutions on the market - such as getting eyelash extensions and tints etc - but it costs a small fortune to keep getting your lashes done at the salon and if you decide to go out last minute, you're never getting in there in time. That's why I always do my own and always have a stock pile of my fave false eyelashes in my makeup storage; so I'm never caught short.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - fashion beauty health and lifestyle blogger reviewing Threads Beauty Angel Lashes False Eyelashes

At this time of year, I literally go through falsies like there's no tomorrow - it's CHRISTMAS PARTY SEASON GUYS and everything that happens in December is an excuse for a festive celebration. Christmas is a big excuse to go all out - with presents, food, drinks, makeup and your outfits; so even if you're new to falsies, you're more likely to consider wearing them at this time of year. And if that's the case,  I've got a fab new brand to inspire you - Threads.

Threads sell a variety of products - false lashes, hair products, eyeliners and brow products, too. The lashes they very kindly sent me for this post are from their Angel Lashes Collection. This beautiful range of falsies [every blogger's dream] includes the styles Angel Eyes, Be-bop, Celestial, Charleston, Emilloo, Red Cherri, Rock Chick, Sex Kitten and Vava voom - all of which are handmade, with a flexible band for comfort. Threads lashes are made with featherweight technology and come with full instructions on the best way to apply them. They also make excellent stocking fillers.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - fashion beauty health and lifestyle blogger reviewing Threads Beauty Angel Lashes False Eyelashes

All of Threads lashes come with a little bottle of glue inside, which is a nice touch and super useful. All Threads' lash glues are latex and fragrance free - and blue, funnily enough! I've never seen a blue lash glue before. But it's actually really, really good - especially with the styles of lashes in this post. I'm always a bit iffy with lash glue [I never trust it!!] but this stuff is brilliant and will 100% keep your eyelashes secured into position for the FULL duration of your Christmas celebrations; no matter how many Jagerbombs you have!

Threads Red Cherri Lashes*, £9.00

These lashes are insanely beautiful - full, defined and soft. I love lashes with a spikey edge. They're quite dramatic, which makes them ideal for wear over the Christmas Party Season; to really make your eyes pop and make everyone else's eyes pop out in envy. Despite them looking thick & full, they're pretty easy to apply and not too heavy on your lashline.

These Red Cherri Lashes are my favourite style of Threads lashes to date. I love the shape of them and how they really define my eyes. I was surprised by how fluttery and textured they looked when applied - I expected them to be quite thick and heavy, but they totes proved me wrong. I'll definitely be getting some wear out of these over the next few weeks. And maybe some free drinks, if I flutter them enough!

Threads Vava Voom Lashes*, £9

I was really pleasantly surprised by these lashes. Ordinarily I wouldn't choose a style like this, as I'd feel it wasn't dramatic enough - and obv, I'm a full on drama queen / nightmare, so I need lashes to reflect this [to warn unsuspecting members of the public.] But when I applied my Vava Vooms [the easiest set of these Threads lashes to apply by far] they did actually really define my eyes, add noticeable length to my lashes and sat naturally with my LVL treated natural eyelashes. I really like them.

Trying this style of lashes has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I'm loving it. I do still feel that for me, these are a style I'd typically wear during the day. But if you're not as used to wearing falsies as I am, they'd also look fab for a night out; to ease you into the lash life.

Threads Celestial Lashes*, £9

The beautiful shaping and texture of these lashes caught my eye straight away. They're so pretty, I've never owned a pair of lashes quite like them. Their graduation in volume emphasises the outer corners of your eyes and gives you sexy, feline-esque peepers.

I love that the Celestial lashes are like a mix of the two styles above; they blend some of the best features of the Vava Voom and Red Cherri lashes into their design. They're slightly thicker than the Vava Voom lashes, but textured in a way which resembles them. They give your lashes a similar level of thickness as the Red Cherri lashes do, but in a more graduated manner. I think this shape suits my eyes nicely.

It's safe to say I LOVE a good sub box. I've been featuring them left, right & centre on the blog recently - there's nothing I enjoy more than cracking one open and unwrapping the surprises inside. I'd describe the joy I get whilst unwrapping beauty boxes as like, a mini Christmas; which for me makes a beauty box subscription the ideal gift for a makeup lover - it's the Xmas pressie that keeps on giving, month after month. A never ending Christmas, if you will. And this brand new beauty subscription box from Lord & Lady* is an ideal candidate.

Lovelaughslipstick blog - Review of November's Lord & Lady Beauty Subscription Box Christmas Gift Idea

BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS
Mineral Lipstick - Ruby

'Bellapierre Mineral Lipsticks deliver a long-lasting nourishing colour. The smooth and silky formula make it the perfect finishing touch to your make up routine. Their lipsticks are also 100% natural and provide protection from the sun.'

I love this lipstick - the colour is just so, so festive; isn't it?! It smells lovely [like vanilla] and is packed full of natural goodness and vitamins. It has a blue undertone [which is fab for making your teeth look whiter on your Christmas snaps] and its quilted looking casing reminds me of the Chanel bag of my dreams. OOH!
Oils of heaven

'Organic Baobab oil is rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9, making it ideal as a rejuvenating oil for maintaining healthy skin. It is an excellent moisturiser. Baobab oil spreads easily and is absorbed quickly into the skin without clogging the pores.'

I'm excited to try this stuff - I've recently got into The Body Shop's Oils of Life, so I'm curious to see how this compares. I love the packaging and cute little glass bottle - it's super Instagrammable.

CRU KAFE
Coffee Capsules – Dark Roast

'Love coffee? Then you will appreciate Cru Kafe’s Dark Roast coffee pods. With its strong & deep body, this blend is perfect for those who enjoy a Flat White or Latte.'

These coffee pods smell SO GOOD that I can't cope. Like, they make me drool [and I'm not even ashamed to admit that.] I am a coffee fiend / addict. I LOVE a good Latte and need at least 2 brews to get me going in a morning - and this stuff is Strength 9. Guys, invest in a new Wedding hat, I think I've found the one

Cru Kafe coffee is made from 100% organic & fairtrade beans AND you can recycle the little plazzy capsules - so it's guilt free [and I'm mega passionate about recycling.] My flat smells like Starbucks right now - and I couldn't be happier. I've never received anything like this in a subscription box before - and I love the idea of lying back with a blanket, a piping hot brew and pampering myself with the contents of this box over winter.

BALM BALM
Rose Floral Water

'Mist over clean skin as part of your facial routine for a gentle toner or simply as an all over freshener, natural perfume or ‘pick me up’.'

Again, total packaging goals going on here - amiright? This super lux glass bottle sprays out a fine mist of rose floral water; which instantly cools and hydrates my tired skin. I'm going to introduce this into my skincare regime as a toner, as that's one thing that I'm pretty bad at remembering to do. And I'm not getting any younger #FossilProbs.

EVOLVE
Daily renew facial cream

'This moisturiser restores normal to dry skin with a blend of pure organic oils. Organic Argan oil nourishes whilst natural hyaluronic acid soothes and hydrates. Delicately fragranced with natural, soothing hypoallergenic vanilla & coconut.'

I've just applied some of this now, actually - my skin feels lovely and smells like a coconut dream. Even though it's a blend of oils, it doesn't feel pure oily on your skin - it actually feels like a face mask, weirdly enough; covering your skin as it nourishes and pumps moisture back into your face. I think the design of this facial cream is my favourite out of everything in this month's Lord & Lady box - it's so minimal - an Instagram dream. I've never owned so many products lux enough to be shipped in glass bottles before!! #Can'tCope
