Okay, so I think the title of this post might just, very subtly obv [pahaha, about as subtle as a poke in the eye, me!] give away my feelings about September's Dollibox* slightly prematurely. Dunno if you can tell from my title like [lolololol] but it's a pretty frigging incredible curation this month - and one that I totes got emosh over on Instagram stories when it first arrived. Albeit it a while ago now, cos I'm a bad blogger / human / friend [delete where appropriate] and totes behind on blogging, housework and bill payments RN.
Dollibox is a pretty, super pink, sparkly beauty subscription box of joy; which delivers five mostly full sized items to your door each month [or as a one-off, if you'd prefer.] Their curations allow us to try out products from well-known brands, up-and-coming companies and cult classics; all from the comfort of our own homes / duvets. It's super reasonably priced too - from just £10 a month + p&p.
Let's dive straight into this month's box and witness the fitness together. I think yous get the general gist of how much I frigging love Dollibox day... and if not, and I've managed to play it cool in this post, just have a search of my blog and you'll soon see the extent of the obsession!
Fairypants Vegan Cosmetics Dry Skin Balm
Full Size, RRP £3.99
Ooooh this stuff smells proper fit. It's a bit of a festive fragrance and even though I turn into Scrooge as soon as Summer ends, I do secretly really like some of the traditional, cozy scents that the festive season treats us too. And it's a lovely consistency too - if you take a little and heat it in your hands for a minute, it melts into a lovely oily-type concoction; which you then need to smother your skin in, and be left smelling like heaven mixed with a Terry's Chocolate Orange.
A great product to have in your handbag at this time of year; revitalises and nourishes even the driest of skin - so it's perfect as a hand cream or a little pick-me-up when you're having a truly sh*te day in the office. And a little really goes a long way, so it's fab value for money [which is a huge tick in my book, yous know I'm poor AF - #PRrequest for a miracle and / or Lottery win, pls.]
Little Ondine Nail Polish
Full Size, RRP £11.00
uk.littleondine.com
Well. Can we just take a minute here to appreciate this hella fine packaging design?! I've never seen a sexier packaged nail polish before - the bottle and cute, folded-to-perfection presentation box truly slayed my existence on Dollibox-day! Little Ondine aren't a brand I'm familiar with; but tbh, after discovering them in this month's edit, I think I wanna marry them now.
This shade is perf for Autumn - I love repping dark nail polishes during the colder months. It makes me feel dead vampy and hot. Even though I look trampy and not. Plus - hold my frigging beer whilst I tell yous this - it's a peel off nail polish! Holy Santa Claus sh*t, you have no idea how happy I am about this!!!! And like, it's toxin-free, odour-free and quick drying too.. but back to the peel off bit. OMGGGGGG!
Glitter Eyes Pressed Glitter
Full Size, RRP £5.99
glittereyes.co.uk
OMG I CAN'T COPE. Glitter Eyes are one of my favourite brands ever in life, and to see them included in this month's edit made me weepy with emotion and joy. Even if the other items in this month's edit had been truly sh*te [which they definitely, definitely weren't, like! But hypothetically...] I would still have been chuffed AF with it, thanks to this absolute BEAUT of a pressed glitter lurking in the Dollibox's pretty pink wrapping.
Eek - just look at how pretty and holographic it is! It's quite a chunky pressed glitter, but I full on adore it - especially coming up towards the Christmas / New Year party season. I first discovered Glitter Eyes about a year ago now, and my obsession with them seems to get ever stronger. Just like my desires to marry my hot physio and / or to move abroad to Greece and never return.
Schwarzkopf Professional Micellar Cleansing Conditioner
Travel Size, RRP £22.50 per 500ml
schwarzkopf-professional.co.uk
Ah, the brand who's name I don't think I'll ever be able to pronounce. I'm a bit of a conditioner fiend and go through tonnes of it on every hair wash [though admittedly, I don't actually wash my hair that often!] - so I'm always grateful when I'm gifted more! This Micellar Conditioner is clever stuff; it's supposed to cleanse & condition all hair types in one step - without the need for traditional shampoo and conditioner at every hair wash. Hmm - interesting. Does this mean I can wash even less?
The leaflet which comes in each Dollibox explains a little more about each brand and product in da mix each month... and I don't know if I'm just a] showing how terrible of a beauty blogger I am or b] showing how frigging immature I am... but there's a bit in the accompanying text for this conditioner I'm going to query with you guys. Has anyone heard of a low-poo hair washing regime before?! I've just nearly died - and had to check, check and recheck the paragraph multiple times, to see if my eyes were deceiving me. Low-poo, hahahahahahaha. Who thinks of these names?!
Appaz low-poo and co-washing [what is that, communal showers?!] are growing trends widely supported by celebrities. And I don't know what either of them are - but this conditioner seems to support them. And if the trend has the word 'poo' in its name, I'll damn well support it too!
Anatomicals Lip Balm
Full Size, RRP £2.49
This cherry lip balm smells fab, and will be super useful over the colder months; when the arsehole cold weather freezes all moisture outta my pout & leaves my lips residing in chap city. I'd also like to state that, for their inneundo FILLED packaging, Anatomicals have become my new heroes. Utter filth - my exact kinda humour #WeOnlyWantYouForYourBody
I love the branding and fun packaging of this product - plus it's totes packed full of natural goodness [and zero parabens] so it's great for your body [& dirty mind.] Never Lose Your Cherry [SPF 8 Lip Balm.] What a product! What a time to be alive!
Joe & Seph's Sweet & Salty Salted Caramel Popcorn
If you feed me, you pretty much have my heart forever. That's the deal. Especially if it's a surprise meal - like this bag of mixed popcorn was. Totes not on the Dollibox pamphlet! But very well received, nonetheless. I go through phases of being addicted to popcorn... it's just so moreish, isn't it? And free food is always going to go down well with me. I'm a raging tramp, and proud. Ish.
And that's a wrap for another month. Definitely one of my fave editions to date - do you see why I'm so obsessed with this box now?!
What's your favourite pick from this month's curation? Tough call - right?!
