Ever since I got my hands on my first GlitterEyes Eyeshadow Duo via Little Known Box, I've been obsessed. You might think obsessed is a slightly over dramatic word, but it's not; it's spot on.
Every eyeshadow look I've created recently has involved copious amounts of pressed glitter and I am LOVING IT. I've been blinging up my lower lashline, popping a little sparkle into the corner of my eyes to make them POP and rocking a glitter packed into the inner of my eyelid; blended out with my favourite matte Makeup Geek shadows.
Despite being possibly one of the poorest bloggers in the North West, my love for the two glitters I had from working with Little Known Box intensified to a point where I ended up grabbing my credit card and ordering myself four more pans directly, from GlitterEyes' online store. I couldn't control myself any longer. I was like a wild beast, released.
I was honestly spoilt for choice for what to order. My shopping cart was full to bursting at one point - and my credit card was weeping genuine tears at the battering it was about to get, but I managed to find a little self control [God knows where from!] and ordered just four single glitter pans in the end; rather than the 400 I started off with. You can pop the pans in the little palettes provided, or alternatively, they fit perfectly into Z-Palettes; they're the ideal size.
Aside from being bloody fantastic, handmade products; GlitterEyes pressed glitters are also a legit lifesaver. I am pretty insanely clumsy, and whenever I have a pot of loose eyeshadow pigments or glitter; my carpet normally wears more of it than me.
I try so hard to be a proper blogger / adult, but I have a terrible habit of spilling stuff that I just can't knock on the head. My bedroom carpet is tanned, sparkly and rocking a full on smokey eye from all the previous disasters I've had getting ready on it. GlitterEyes' pans are pressed glitter - so it doesn't spill out, it doesn't pure fall out across your cheeks when you apply it and if you knock it, your carpet will live to serve another day. I just can't even fault them, or their incredibly reasonable price points.
I can't wait to create some sparkly new looks with these glitters. Like legit can't wait AT ALL. I'm going to have to create some kind of social life for myself to give me an excuse to wear them all the time. But in the meantime, here's some swatches and close up shots, so you can see how pigmented, sparkly and GORGEOUS GlitterEyes' pressed pans are.
Pressed Glitter Single in Shade Candy Cane, £5.99
How beautiful is this, tho? Like, just look at it. This is a chunky glitter pan, which has a pinky-rose base and rainbow, holographic glitter mixed in with it. If you think it's too good to be true - just look at the swatch below. It's the perfect pink, romantic shade to create a gorgeous Valentines Day look in just over a month. Yeah sorry guys, I said it. The V word *shudders*
I'm so, so glad I got my hands on this shade. Granted, I placed my GlitterEyes order around Christmas [hence the festive name] but I'll be indulging in this Candy Cane all year round. It's the prettiest thing I've ever clapped eyes on. And look how well it swatches, with just the tiniest dab of my finger. Life goals.
Pressed Glitter Single in Shade Gloss, £5.99
This is a totally different kind of glitter and product to the others I ordered & used before - I'm not quite sure what to do with it. It's a much different consistency [moist, almost?] and really reminds me of snow. Gloss is a clear white glitter, which gives you the illusion of glossy lids when applied to the eye; for a fresh, glowy look.
I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to pull off wearing this, or how to work it into a look - but I'm definitely going to give it a go. As my eyes are pretty much constantly staring at some form of screen these days [with my career, blogging and my social media addiction] they could do with a dewy, more youthful look about them. Watch this space.
Pressed Glitter Single in Shade Ginger Spice, £5.99
Ginger Spice is my favourite glitter from this order; as well as the nickname of my favourite Spice Girl from back in the day. This stunner is one of GlitterEye's fine glitters; with small, beautifully sparkly pigments that'll add a dramatic twist to any dark, smouldering eye makeup look. And just brace yourself for the colour pay-off of the swatch I'm about to show you.
Can you cope, or?! Just look at that. The smallest dab of my finger and bam; you've relocated to Sparkle Town. I'm so, so, SO excited to plaster my eyelids with this and smoulder [hopefully, I always think I'm smouldering at the time / working the camera and then when I look back at the photographic evidence, I look a top tw*t.]
These glitters last for hoursssss; without falling out, smudging or just going to hell like the rest of my face after a few glasses of fizz - so the fear of entering top tw*t territory is somewhat reduced.
Single Pressed Glitter in Shade Jingle Bells, £5.99
This is another fave shade of mine, as it's just so versatile and can add a splash of glam to pretty much any look you bash together. It's very similar [if not the same] as one of the glitter I got in my Limited Edition Little Known Box; which I wore over Christmas & to a friend's wedding and got tons of compliments on. And lasted for 24 hours worth of partying, sambuca and dancing; smudge free.
Another chunky formula, this white gold toned base with larger, holographic pieces of glitter really catches the light; with stunning rainbow twinkles. You can add just a little to your look, or pack on lots for a super dramatic look; Jingle Bells is super buildable and an all round babe. A great shade to start with if you're not used to wearing glitter as part of your makeup, which flatters all eye colours.
Have you tried any of GlitterEye's products before? Which of the glitters here is your favourite? Do you have a fav product you use to add a little sparkle to your look, or any tips on how I can use my new glitters?
