If you've seen me on Insta Stories recently & noticed that my makeup-free skin actually looks pretty clear, not half dead and even - dare I say it - radiant... well, there's one brand to blame. And that's these guys - Verso Skincare. I've been trying out their newly re-launched Travel Kit*, RRP £42 recently -and I've fallen a bit lot in love with it.
At £42 it is admittedly on the pricier side of life - but the set itself is actually worth nearly £60 and is a fantastic way to try out some of Verso's best-selling products... so if you're looking for luxury skincare that legit works then it's totes worth the splurge. Plus, the tiniest product goes a long way once applied; so the contents of the set will last you for ages too. Here's a cheeky lil overview of the set, the brand & what to expect. Oh, and if you missed it, you can also catch up on this post which reviews Verso's Reviving Eye Masks and gives you a further insight on what to expect from their products. Shameless plug.
Verso Skincare use Retinol [something I admittedly know very little about] in their innovative, age-defying skincare range: their signature 'Retinol 8 Complex'. As the name suggests, Verso's Retinol is eight bloody times more effective than ya bog-standard Ret in the same dosage. And their entire range of products is packed with that - as well as containing Vitamin A; which boosts ya collagen, plumps up ya wrinkles and rejuvenates ya skin. Hot.
I love the brand's minimal, clean packaging - and the concept of having the numbers of what order you should use their products displayed on the front. You may notice these numbers are printed backwards / reversed... why? I'll tell you - and it's so bloody clever, I die. Verso is actually the latin word for 'reverse' - which is why their use of numbers are printed backwards and why it's been chosen as the brand's name... because their products are anti-aging; reversing the effects of time. Mind. BLOWN.
This newly relaunched set contains a hand-luggage compatible sized trio of Cleanser, Day Cream & Night Cream; each boasting collagen-boosting, wrinkle-plumping, skin-rejuvenating properties. I've been trying this dream team out for just over a week - and I'm totally converted. My pores feel more refined, my skin looks clearer & more even and it feels soft and supple / youthful to the touch.
I actually went on Instagram Stories the other day and even without a filter [and with no makeup, just the remainder of the day cream I'd applied earlier] my face actually looked dead radiant and clear. Granted, it still looked ugly as sin without my makeup mask, but my skin is loving the luxury products it's being exposed to recently!
The Foaming Cleanser is beautifully gentle on my skin and smells really good - refreshing & luxurious. With just a little product, when applied; it lightly foams and removes all the oil & impurities from my skin. I've been using this with my new found love - that Konjac Sponge I was blown away by on Insta.. and the combination of the two leaves my skin feeling amazing.
The Day Cream is a fairly lightweight consistency which again, can be applied sparingly; as a tiny blob goes a long way. After initially tingling on my skin, the cream settles down to leave my face feeling refined & fresh. The Night Cream has a very similar effect & fragrance - just with a slightly thicker consistency; so all the goodness it contains can soak in overnight without jeopardising the staying power ofyour makeup during the day.
Using this triumphant trio regularly in my daily skincare routine has definitely made a difference to my rancid face. It's brighter, less oily and no spots have dared make an appearance since I started using Verso's products. Which is an absolute win, in my eyes. Totally recommend guys.
