I don't think I could function very well as a human without false lashes. Dramatic [and first world problems, I know] but the addiction is strong... and to me, they're one of the most integral additions to my makeup & rancid face. One of the few things that make my giant moonhead slightly more tolerable to the human eye.
One of my fave websites that I use to locate the most fluttery falsies & a huge selection of brands is, undoubtedly, FalseEyelashes.co.uk; who very kindly sent over some fab new styles for me to try from eyelash veterans Eylure... a brand I've used since I was about 15. So a very long time indeed! [#FossilProbs.]
Here's a lil overview of some of the latest Eylure styles gracing my lash wardrobe & links to where you can get your mitts on your very own. I always like to see independent photos of falsies rather than relying on stock imagery alone when falsie shopping; so hopefully my 234235 pics in this post will be useful to you guys too.
I've gotta kick off with the Eylure Texture No 117 Pre-Glued Lashes* as I've fallen deeply in love with these textured, fluttery huns. And have repurchased since.
The pre-glued feature was something I was a little cautious of initially... could it really hold for as long as the 3000 coats of adhesive I'd normally apply to the base of me falsies? But I'm pleased to report that it actually felt really strong & held the lashes in place all day when I wore them [for reference, when I travelled to the Coliseum Shopping Park that time & did a load of stories of me weeping over all the clothes I fell in love with.] Bar the very inner corners, which I did have to secure again with lash glue.
I also love the dramatic, curled shape of these Eylure Definition No 120 Lashes* they're so pretty & when worn, they'll have such a defined, statement shape on the eyes. I'm saving these for a night out due to this, as they're a bit dramatic [even for me] to wear on a trip to big Tesco for tins of cider & chicken korma; which is where I'm usually going when I leave the house.
Ah Eylure No 100 Lashes... these were my go-to for many, many years! This new take on this classic style - these Eylure Intensify No 100 Lashes* is a fab, drama-fuelled, black/blue twist; taking the iconic thickening lashes to a glam new level. No 100 is still, for me, a style I'd opt for during the day, but they're a great starter lash for newbies; as they suit all eye shapes & hold their shape really well. A lot of my mates wear these for nights out - but I've levelled up in the extra AF stakes and have to go pure big on me night out lashes these days.
Finally... another light, wispy style I'll use to add a natural flutter to my own daytime eye makeup looks - these areeee the Eylure No 116 Lengthening Lashes*; a pretty, sectioned lash that are incredibly light weight & easy to wear. I love how natural these lashes are when worn - that thin, clear band means they blend seamlessly with your own eyelashes and you don't get that irritated-inner-eye-thing going on like you sometimes experience with a thick band.
I looooooooove FalseEyelashes.co.uk & the HUGE range of brands, styles & products they stock... and I also looooove Eylure - these new styles [especially the Pre-Glued Texture 117's] have renewed my love affair with them in a big way.
