I'd only ever tried Mavala nail polish before... so when this beaut Bloom Collection* of lippies came into my life recently, I was as game as a [massive, tanned] badger to try them out; & see if said lipsticks matched up to the love I have for their nail products.
This collection of six stunning lippies has been inspired by Spring [I totally get Spring vibes just by looking at this line-up - so job well done 👏] and the idea of a New Year: a new bloom. The floral shades in the Bloom line-up are pretty, feminine & pastel-esque - and there's not a single colour I won't wear. Those bright pinks have my heart 😍
In the Bloom lineup, we haveeee [from left - right] Hellebore 647, Daisy 643, Alcea 645, Anemone 644, Freesia 648 and Nymphea 646. Proper babes, aren't they?
Those nudes are perfect everyday shades [literally Nymphea has been all I've worn for days!], I love a lilac lip in the Spring / Summer and the bright pinks in the middle have my name written all over them. I love / live for / obsess over a bright pink statement lip; teamed with lashes & a big old voluminous mane.
Here's some swatches so you can see the Bloom fam in their full glory. From left - right: Hellebore 647, Daisy 643, Alcea 645, Anemone 644, Freesia 648 & Nymphea 646
Formula wise, the lippies are soft & creamy; easy to apply. Some shades are more pigmented than others, but all of them can be built up to create more / less of a colour pay-off situ. They're wearable, versatile and universal shades - and I really like them!
Mavala definitely aren't a one trick pony with their nail polishes, these lippies are properly fab too 😍 They don't have any weird greasiness, smells or staining... or any of the pet peeves I can sometimes pick out when testing out new products. They're just genuinely lovely and a bunch of shades I can't waittttt to represent this Spring.
