#Veganuary has now been and gone - but there's no reason why we shouldn't continue with the habits, lifestyle changes and using the products we enjoyed & discovered during this time.
Obviously there was about 13,000 people moaning about #Veganuary on Twitter... but I personally am totes behind it and have been trying to be more aware of what I'm eating & consuming brand-wise for quite some time now. I very, very rarely eat meat these days; instead opting for Quorn. Though I do still eat a LOT of cheese & fish. But it's a start.
I think twice about buying L'Oreal products these days [I can't remember the last time I did] and I won't support Mac for this reason - I'm keen to use my blog & social platforms to instead shout about brands who don't test on animals and are vegan AF. Like Antipodes. Here's some of the newbies from their HUGE, amazing range that I welcomed into my life this January.
The first thing I need to shout quite loudly about is the one you may have seen me representing on Instagram recently; sat in the tub with it smeared all over me face, basking like a massive sea turtle. Yes, I'm still not over bae-in-training calling me [drunk] at 2:30am to tell me I sound like a sea turtle just yet.
This product is, of course, the Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Facial Mud Mask*, which I pretty much tore the plastic off & dug straight into when it arrived. I LOVE a good mud mask; they work really well on my oily beast of a face & in controlling the sick joke of sebum production on me fod.
This skin-brightening face mask leaves your skin feeling lovely and is really relaxing / refreshing - and unlike other mud masks, it actually has a really nice scent. Sorta like berries? A little goes a long way and it comes with a babba spatula to apply it with to avoid pyar messiness. Up there with as one of the best mud masks I've ever tried tbh.
I adore Antipodes' oils & serums; they're so luxurious, nourishing & definitely brighten / even out my dodgy AF complexion. This duo of Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum* and Antipodes Divine Face Oil* are no exception to this rule. I love their little brown glass bottles too - the sorta aesthetic I want in & around my bathroom 4eva.
I've tried the Divine Face Oil before - and loved it, obv; so this new bottle is a fab replenishment to my dwindling stock levels. It's super hydrating & relaxing on the skin; lovely to apply at the end of a big old skincare regime.
The Skin-Brightening Serum is a bit of an exciting one which I'll report back on soon. It works to target pigmentation, lack-lustre skin and uneven skin tone; which sounds like me in a nutshell these days tbh - especially around the eyes. It's dead nourishing - packed full of nutrients for aging skin. And I'm not getting any younger, huns.
Last up is a cheeky tube of this beaut Antipodes Joyful Hand & Body Cream* - another fave of mine. As its name suggests, even just looking at the branding printed on dat tube brings me joy. Dat tube, tho.
I've neglected myself quite a bit recently in terms of self-care... I've just been so busy working. And I realised recently I hadn't moisturised properly for ages, & me poor legs were like dried out old wafers 😂 This luxurious moisturiser really packs a hydrating punch; but with a lightweight, non-greasy formula. It's really, really lovely & I'd recommend grabbing a tube - especially if, like me, the skin on your hands has gone to actual sh*t this Winter 😫
Antipodes are one of my fave skincare brands - their products are organic, effective and all cruelty-free; qualities which tick all of my proverbial boxes.
If you're gonna treat yourself to something a bit special in the skincare stakes [or maybe you wanna treat ya bae for Valentines] - I'd defo recommend picking up a few of their products. They'll last you forever and their selection is HUGE; catering for all skin-types. Not just for ragingly oily people like me.

Have you tried anything from Antipodes before? Did you take part in #Veganuary, or find any products during January you're going to incorporate into your life from now on?
