Just like everything else in our lives right now, Valentine's 2021 is gonna be unprecedented. We can't book meals, trawl the shops for the perfect gift, head out for drinks at your favourite bar or God forbid book a mini-break. Some couples may be forced to celebrate the big day via Zoom. Some couples may not celebrate it at all. And some of us (like me) may be totes single and opting to choose self love, and celebrate Galentine's / Palentine's this year instead.

You may have seen on my Instagram stories that I visited my local Jack's store recently to check out their incredible range of food, drink, accessories and flowers (amongst much, much more.) I was so, so impressed - as a newbie to the supermarket I'll definitely be back... the range is huuuuuge; with loads of fresh fruit & veg, top brands at affordable prices, a bakery and beautiful bouquets of flowers. And their COVID-19 preventative measures were spot on too - with a one-way system in place, extra wide aisles for social distancing, protective shields at the tills, hand sanitiser upon exit / entrance and every single member of staff wearing a mask. 👏👏👏
As always, restrict unnecessary travel during these times and only head to the shops for essentials. But if you're looking to stock up on food or can visit Jack's during your designated trip out for essentials, I'd 10/10 recommend popping in. Here's what I picked up on my visit; showing you guys how you can enjoy a special Valentine's Day from home this year - and on a budget - with Jack's supermarket.
"Valentines Day will be a bit different this year. Whether you live with your loved one and are planning a cosy night in for two or you will be celebrating with the whole house or even with your housemates, showing the love this year to your nearest and dearest will mean more than ever.
At Jack’s we want to help you celebrate Valentines Day whatever that looks like for you but most importantly without breaking the bank. important to keep on top of our finances in these uncertain times so we have a lot of choice to help you make the day special all on a budget!"
- Jack's

If you're planning on staying in and cooking your loved one a special meal to share the love this year, Jack's has literally everything you could ever need - for every dietary requirement and preference. They offer a blend of their own branded, top quality products - as well as many of Britain’s favourite brands.
Jack’s is currently offering a Dine in Deal where customers can get the below for just £10:
Also on offer is Bosford Rosé Gin for just £14 plus two discounted fizz options; Canti Prosecco Spumante reduced to £6.50 (was £7.50) and Prospero Leggero Secco Rosato for just £5.50 (was £6.50.) Both available in store from 27th January to 14th February 2021.

I managed to pick up every single item in this post for under £30, with ££ to spare after. Which was just insane, considering red roses, prosecco and Lindt chocolates were in the mix here... as well as a full meal (or 2/3!) andddd dessert.
I picked up a bouquet of red roses, Valentine's Day card, box of Lindt chocolates and bottle of Prosecco as a sweet gift for the evening at Jack's... all for under £15. I bought a gorgeous (lemme tell you huns, I'm not messing when I say it was up there as one of my top 5 cheesecake experiences of all time) vanilla cheesecake for dessert and for my main meal, I bought everything I'd need to cook up a fresh spag bol from home; including a fresh baguette, top quality 100% British beef and grated cheese to sprinkle on top of my creation. The entirety of my shop, which consisted of:
