When I was a young whippersnapper, there was nothing on this earth that could compare to the excitement and magicalness that was a trip to Toys R Us in Manchester. You had to pure trek to get there... but oh my days, it was a feeling like nothing else on this earth. EUPHORIC.

I've become a lot [lot] older, miserable & cynical since then; but if there's one place on earth that gets my inner child going these days [and makes me giddy at just the thought of it] it's exploring World Duty Free at the airport. It's a magical treasure trove of all my favourite things and proper lavish luxuries all in one place; waiting to be explored. And so Instagrammable too - all the counters and perfume bottles are legit heavenly. I'd book a holiday purely for the Duty Free shopping opportunities tbh. This blog post takes a look at just a few of the beauty goodies and brands you can take advantage of whilst shopping there; and I can't even cope.

Oh look, another Benefit Bad Gal Bang! Mascara review. Y am I so original. There's been a proper mixed bag of opinions on this product; but as Benefit's 'They're Real!' is one of my fav mascaras I thought I'd give this new mazzy a go. Plus, it was on offer at QVC and ya gal loves a bargain & anything which says 'free P&P.'

As a result of all that -  here's another one of my Fit or Sh*t review posts featuring my new Bad Gal Bang! to somewhat justify me having bought it; when in reality, I've got mascaras coming out of me ears and / or arsehole... and debt collectors with my number on speed dial. Y am I like this.

Instagram is a wild beast that I don't think anyone knows how to slay these days. Not even those people who buy followers or set their bots loose on the 'Gram to comment sh*te [& ALWAYS, for some reason, use that bloody emoji with the sunglasses on all over ya shots. No, unlike this guy suggests, your behaviour IS NOT cool. Anyway. I'll save my Insta tea for another time.] What I do enjoy about this somewhat flawed social media platform however; is creating, sharing and finding images of products, places, people and things I love. And leaving creepy, inappropriate comments all over ya grid to test the boundaries of our online friendship, obv.

I've been spending a lot more time using the 'Explore' feature recently & browsing hashtags - and it's put the fun right back into Insta. I've loved chatting with new people, finding fresh feeds to stalk & having a proper good lol. This source of new inspiration, the discovery of beaut images / products and overall new-found sense of enjoyment has meant that I've actually been enjoying taking photos more too; getting a bit more creative with my props, colour scheme and content.

Photobackdrops.co dead kindly sent me loads of new backdrops to incorporate into my shots... which have inspired me even more  - and triggered LOADS of questions from you guys, off the back of featuring them in my InstaStories. So I thought I'd do a quick blog post on the ones I have & have been using recently in ma pics - focussing on how they can improve the quality of your images and add real atmosphere & meaning to your photography. And also, Lucy is a total babe who's become one of ma fave Snapchat buddies - so defo drop her a line for a chat. She's hilar.

Since getting involved in blogging and it opening my eyes to many, many things [some which I'm glad to have been educated on... others - such as the uninvited dick pics - not so much] via Twitter, one thing I've got more passionate about is supporting eco friendly, cruelty free brands and independent businesses.

I've always tried to do me bit for the world, with recycling & caring for nature / animals and that... but it wasn't until I was exposed to this whole new world [yes, I'm totes humming the song from Aladdin now... how much of a tune is that tho, pls? Used to smash that on Singstar at uni] of brands, tools and resources that I realised how many other ways there are to be kind to the planet. One of the ways I wanted to talk about today being buying from brands who champion sustainability & recycling; like So Eco - the face of responsible beauty.

Although at the moment I feel about as romantic as a squashed dog turd; festering on the side of the road, there are a few qualities you can sometimes find in a fella which might [slightly] defrost my ice-queen heart. But it's otherwise as frosty as my freezer, which has frozen all three drawers shut & taken my food hostage since about 2014. Be arsed defrosting that like, I'd need a sh*tting pick axe & a team of trained huskies.

ANYWAY - before I go off on a mad chilled food storage tangent, let's crack on with today's dating post; where I've compiled a lil list of a few of the things that occasionally make me warm towards males. In no particular order.

15 Things That [Might] Make Me Fall For Someone | Lovelaughslipstick Blog
The dreaded Gobsh*te. They're everywhere. And also, a word that I defo don't hear used enough - especially when it's so perfect for describing the utter turd burglars that are our ex-partners, ex-lovers, ex-roomies or ex-friends.  Or all four; rolled into one, hybrid nightmare.

Today's dating post is going to be dedicated to tips for getting over a gobsh*te successfully, with a little inspo from Dua Lipa... and pls, feel free to add your own ideas and lyrics in the comments below. Think of this post as like, a d*ckhead database - and refer back to it during times of nearly caving and drunk texting him. Or her. These rules apply whether you're dating or have married said person - and if this is the case and you need a little help legally with your breakup / divorce (something which is a little out of Dua's abilities), check out petersmay.com for guidance.

I legit find anything to do with Palm Reading, Tarot & Angel Card Readings and the idea of fortune telling / learning about your destiny absolutely fascinating, wbu? I actually had my Angel Cards read a few years ago... I went in with a proper cynical mindset, but left an emotional wreck with how spot on everything was.

If there's one thing I'll always have time for, it's learning more about this kinda stuff. I find it so fascinating - I'll sit and read for hours & hours about the art of palmistry, reading people's auras and anything at all related to star signs. It's like a splash of magic and mystery - with a generous dashing of hope & spirituality - into my otherwise boring, mundane lifestyle [come on hip, pls just heal now - this housebound life is starting to lose its appeal!] And I've found an amazing Palm Reading App I want to share with you guys today; which is allowing me to further explore my destiny from the comfort of my own home.

Although at the moment, 'travel' for me goes about as far as getting an Uber to the petrol garage to buy cookies, I do actually LOVE packing my bags and exploring the world. There's countless places I want to go, hundreds of things I want to see, tons of delicacies I want to devour and a few oceans I still need to dip my toes in.

I wasn't able to go abroad last year [or anywhere, rly!] thanks to living my own personal health nightmare and residing in hospitals for the majority [I'm still fuming at 2017... I haven't forgiven you & I won't forget, you top tit!] - so my travel bug has gone into overdrive from being cooped up for so long!

I've popped together a Travel Bucket List today featuring some of the beautiful places I properly want to visit, inspired by some of the fab offers on the Destination2.co.uk website & all the enticing information I found over there. My stack of credit cards are shaking in their boots right now - and mini sirens are most likely going off at NatWest HQ; but if there's one thing I don't actually mind spending dollar on, it's travel. It's such an amazing experience and worth so much more than just another lipstick or eyeshadow palette. 80 year old me won't remember my obsession with the latest Violet Voss release; but she will remember the sights, sounds and smells of the countries & towns she's had the pleasure of visiting over the years.

You might know me for being somewhat of a notorious hairbrush dodger / fiend, but on the off-chance I do make an effort with me mane, I like to use effective tools which work straight off, yeno? No messing around required or professional know-how necessary. I'm no hairdresser [in fact, I keep on having nightmares where Katie Middleton and Leanne Page tell me this and also, that my hair is sh*t *sobs*] but do I know a handy tool or two [and a bargain price tag] when I see one.

These fab hairstyling hacks - which won't cost you the earth, from innovative hair styling brand Scünci are tools which have defo piqued my attention for exactly that; as well as making me look less trampy and upgrading my [admittedly rare] styling regime to being much more efficient.

Imagine a world where you could just chuck ya razors in the bin & frolic around; hair free & care free. That is the sort of world I wanna live in. And potentially, I may have just found the key to unlocking its mystical front door, with this exciting Hair Growth Prevention Cream [for Body]from Frénésies

Body hair is a very personal preference - some people prefer to preserve it and others prefer to remove it. And both of these options are totally fine, it's your body and your decision; at the end of the day. I personally prefer eradicating all traces of the bugger... which is why this product - and the fact it's natural & not pure packed with bleach & chemicals, spoke to me so much. And why I'm here to speak to you sexy lot about it today. So buckle up for my first impressions, and prepare to put ya razors into retirement.

It seems like every man and his dog have been raving about this concealer recently. I don't actually think I've seen a single YouTuber not declare themselves as being 'shook' as they swatched this product. Known for being a much more affordable dupe for Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer, Makeup Revolution's Conceal & Define [which comes in a mega inclusive shade range and costs just £4] has sent everyone west. It's pigmented AF / proper dece coverage and bears several design & proclaimed formula similarities to the one and only Shape Tape. But is it actually a dupe, or just full on poop?

I won't lie, ever since I included 'Show me the Ouai to good hair' in an Instagram caption of mine - and suggested you should sing this line to the classic HearSay song 'Show me the way to your love', I haven't been able to stop serenading the bottles on my dresser with it - dead loud - every time I look at them

I mean, yolo and that... as firstly - it is an ABSOLUTE ANTHEM  and I have no shame in admitting that and secondly; my upstairs neighbour is a satanic arsehole from hell, so anything I can do to annoy him is great. The louder the better. But today I'm here to sing something a little different ... and that is my praises for the beautiful luxury haircare I've been trying out recently from Ouai.

Two posts in one day - WOT IS THIS SORCERY?! Some could say I'm working overtime on Valentine's Day to spread the love... others could say I've really badly organised my time and blog post backlog. But the exact answer to this question can neither be confirmed or denied.

I do proper enjoy mixing up my content with a dating blog post or twelve; ferociously typing up some of my most hilarious failed interactions with males & posting them online purely for the lols. And you guys seem to enjoy these kinda posts too... so what better time is there rly to talk about relationships, dating and love [be these failed attempts or proper romantic AF situations] than on actual Valentines Day?! Grab yaself a tea [you can even spill some in my DMs if ya like xoxo] and enjoy my Vday Special.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, BAES! Whether you enjoy February the 14th or spend most of it in ya duvet, avoiding life and eating cookies [this is totes me - and I have a 'boyfriend' apparently; who I also need to avoid cos I ain't getting him anything until he pulls his finger out of his arse] it's a day where we can show love & appreciation for those we have in our lives; in a romantic-or-not sense. So I've partnered with a dating expert [another Nikki!] Dr Nikki Goldstein to celebrate a] my love for you guys, b] the hilariosity of modern dating and c] the release of her FAB new book 'Single But Dating : A Field Guide to Dating in the Digital Age' on a V-DAY GIVEAWAY!

Dr Nikki Goldstein Single But Dating : A Field Guide to Dating in the Digital Age

Yeah I'm admittedly late in posting this, but no; I don't rly give a solitary or collective sh*t. Because no matter how late I am jumping on the January blogpost wagon of fave product round-ups [mid Feb ain't too shabby for me, I didn't think?] nothing's going to change - the products within this post were some of my favs in 2017, but are still very much current baes too. Here's why - and a little more about these absolute worldies too.

It's a running joke and a commonly recognised fact that my phone is never above 10% battery. Every screenshot I send seems to just be further, incriminating evidence to illustrate how my phone lives its life in a permanent state of 4% batto.

Part of my loyal Lifetime Low Battery Club Membership status is due to my lack of patience... I maaaajorly cba to sit by a wall plug waiting for me phone to drink it's electric juice. Like, what if I want a bath? What if I go into the other room? What if [God forbid] I actually wanted to go outside for a bit? I can't be held to the constraints of my knock off USB charging wire - so I unplug, wander off somewhere, forget to replug & then disappear off the face of the earth for a while waiting for my phone to power back on after a complete switch off.

My other main stumbling point when it comes to maintaining me phone's battery power is that I'm always bloody on it. That makes it sound like I have pure loads of friends - I don't. But as a blogger, I'm always up to something on there. Snapping photos, posting long, rambly, swear-filled rants on Insta Stories, editing pics, scheduling tweets, making endless to-do lists or replying to emails / DMs. Which is why I wanted to stop by today and quickly show you this lil gadget I was sent recently; which is legit a godsend for bloggers on the go.

I love Missguided, so when they announced the release of their first perfume, I knew - without even smelling it - that it would be amazing. They're one of the few online retailers who actually seem to listen to their customers, consistently slay their branding and who stock clothes which actually come up true-to-size... meaning that I can shop online with them & not be left wildly disappointed by the assortment of child-sized garments that turn up. Like you get with other retailers. Naming no-one in particular *cough*H&M*cough*.

This is Missguided's Babe Power Eau De Parfum* 80ml, which retails at £28. With its quirky design, rose gold exterior & fab branding it ticks all the boxes from the get-go - but does it smell as babein' as its name suggests?

If you've seen me on Insta Stories recently & noticed that my makeup-free skin actually looks pretty clear, not half dead and even - dare I say it - radiant... well, there's one brand to blame. And that's these guys - Verso Skincare. I've been trying out their newly re-launched Travel Kit*, RRP £42 recently -and I've fallen a bit lot in love with it.

At £42 it is admittedly on the pricier side of life - but the set itself is actually worth nearly £60 and is a fantastic way to try out some of Verso's best-selling products... so if you're looking for luxury skincare that legit works then it's totes worth the splurge. Plus, the tiniest product goes a long way once applied; so the contents of the set will last you for ages too. Here's a cheeky lil overview of the set, the brand & what to expect. Oh, and if you missed it, you can also catch up on this post which reviews Verso's Reviving Eye Masks and gives you a further insight on what to expect from their products. Shameless plug.

Yous know the drill by now. More often than not, when it comes to getting a phone case on the cheap; you pay about 12p in proper good faith... only to find out it's being shipped to you from the depths of China and more often than not, when it FINALLY ARRIVES, looks sh*t all like it did in the photos. This is what they call the good old Expectation vs Reality effect... a series I'm actually hoping to relaunch this year. Anyway.

On the flipside, you might not be as much of a tramp's arse as me and actually splash a bitta cash out on ya new case; spending about £20 on it [again, in good faith] ... only for it to turn up looking like fried sh*te because in reality, it's stock which has been bought in from China & subjected to a massive mark up in price. The struggle is so real. That's why I wanted to drop by today and tell you about the pretty damn sexual phone case I picked off from eBay recently - which was under a fiver inc shipping, turned up in 2 days and of an actual decent quality. Cos I'm ALL ABOUT saving you guys money, as well as adhering to my strict, super-trampy budget.

Love it, hate it or block it out and pretend it doesn't exist, Valentine's Day is fast approaching... and there's no denying it! I swear these days - it's Christmas for about 10 minutes, January for around 3 years and then BAM - our mate Valentine's hits us like a huge, unexpected, heart shaped truck.

Whether you're celebrating Valentine's, Galentine's or hiding in ya duvet with a block of Dairy Milk, I have a couple of beauty bits to share with you today which might tickle ya fancy for the occasion - and beyond.

The products in this post have been kindly sent to me by Live in the Light [your one stop shop for everything organic and natural] - and are fab picks to help set the mood & celebrate the occasion. Roses are red, violets are blue, if you’re looking for an ORGANIC Valentine's Day experience, these beauty products are totes for you.
