I'm obsessed with false eyelashes. I wear a pair every single day of my life - even though my natural eyelashes aren't too shabby with a decent mascara, so I could probably get away with not bothering [if I could afford good makeup, ever, that is.]

Popping on a pair of falsies just makes me feel so much better about my life and overall face. Even if the rest of my makeup is nonexistent and my general facial area resembles a sick joke, I'll pop some lashes on and instantly feel a lot more like I have my life in order - and less like a massive wrong-un.

My obsession has resulted in me having gone through a lot of lashes over the past few years [the eyelash graveyards lurking around my room are testament to that!!] and has also meant that I've tried and tested a fair few brands, from all different parts of the world. Some have been well fit, and others - shockingly sh*t. That's all part and parcel of finding a brand and shape of lash that works for you, I guess, but has meant that I'm now pretty passionate about sourcing lashes that truly have the wow factor. And, of course [if you've not already gathered by my constant references to poverty and bargain euphoria plastered throughout my blog] I'm even more passionate about a good old bargain

Lashunlimited* are a brand I noticed on Twitter recently, who instantly grabbed my attention. I'm forever Twitter creepin' to find bargain brands and stuff I want to try out [I have sooooooo many screenshots of stuff I want to buy in my camera roll, for the attention of future me who will hopefully be less of a pauper than present tense me, who picks pennies off the floor with pride.] Their prices are unbelievably cheap and caught my eye straight away - 1 pair of lashes = £2.50, 3 pairs = £6 and 5 pairs of lashes = just £9. FYI, they also offer wholesale prices for bulk orders, for any of you muas out there.

Anyway, Lashunlimited very kindly sent me a package of lashes and triumph to try out. Prepare yourselves to witness the fitness. Oh and before I go full steam ahead, I just want to add - you don't get glue with these lashes, but to be fair, you don't get glue with most falsies these days and it's not a problem in the slightest for me; I have about 15,000 tubes of eyelash glue in my handbag alone. You can pick up tubes of eyelash glue on Amazon as well, which are super effective and super cheap. My younger, much more makeup savvy, babe of a little sister gets her glue from there - and her makeup game is permanently strong.

#4 Lashes

These are my personal favourite. "Medium dense wispy lashes that increase in length towards the outer corners. Perfect for a natural cat eye."

#6 Lashes

I really love the shape and the graduation of these lashes. "These lashes add a medium thickness to your own. The spikes add a little length too."

#1 Lashes

Lightweight, subtle lashes to add a little length and flutter. "Light and natural looking lashes that can be worn in the day or at night-time for a hint of glam."

Wow. Just wow. I'm so impressed with these lashes - they're cheap [get in], great quality and arrived super, super fast. What do you think of them? I'll definitely post some looks with these lashes on over the next few days, so you guys can get an idea of how they look in real life, too. Plus, I'm getting right into selfies these days.

Amid all this lash excitement, I've been ferociously stalking Lashunlimited's Instagram to see what else they have to offer - and have fallen madly in love with their #9 lashes; so I'll defo be making an order with them soon. Their #8 and #7 lashes also massively entice me - so watch this space to hear my thoughts on them once I've placed my order. The best part of all of this is that I don't even have to feel guilty about spending, with prices this reasonable! Screw you, January!!

/

What do you think about the range? Have you tried anything from Lashunlimited's collection before? What are your go-to lashes?

*I was very kindly gifted these lashes from Lashunlimited, but all opinions are well honest and all my own.

Things I love:

1. Biscuits
2. Lie ins
3. Onesie life
4. Snapchat's filters
5. When my scratchcard gambling pays off [which is rare, to say the least]
6. Eggs
7. Obsessively cleaning my home with anti-bac wipes
8. The solitaire app I literally can't stop playing on my phone
9. My faithful iPhone
10. Dreaming of all the pets I'll own one day / stalking photos of cute bunnies on Instagram.

But most of all, my favourite of all the things is BARGAIN HUNTING [and not the David Dickinson show, though those fleeces they wear look pretty snug / on point tbh.] No, when I say bargain hunting, I'm talking stalking the internet, to find the very best and cheapest produce - fashion, beauty, lifestyle and home-wise. Why pay more, when you can be a tight-arse like me?

You may remember reading about my first ever encounter with Born Pretty here. And if you didn't / don't remember being exposed to my mad bargain euphoria post, I do highly recommend having a read, like [although I am massively bias.] To sum it up, I was amazed by their free shipping [which was also pretty fast, given the distance my parcel had to travel], their prices being in dollars [helloooooo amazing conversion rates] and the fact that they gave me a dizzy code so that you guys can get stuff at dirt cheap prices, shipped to your door AND at an even further reduced cost [enter AINH10 at the checkout for 10% off your order.]

Well, I'm lucky enough to be working with  Born Pretty again at the moment - and I'm telling ya, they've sent me some stuff this time around which has truly rocked my [thermal, winter] socks. Without further ado, I present to you Post 1: The Matte Lipgloss. Keep your eyes peeled [or follow me on  Twitter or  Bloglovin] for updates on the other items Born Pretty gifted me, too [as well as a whole heap of other rambling and retweeting cute pet photos.]

At first glance, this lipgloss didn't blow me away. It looked a different colour than on the website, so although I thought it looked quite nice, my hopes weren't that high; as I had a totally different idea in my mind of the colour I'd ordered. This perception changed pretty darn quickly. And the fact that it looked a different colour to the website became a non-issue as soon as the product met my lips.

I applied a quick coat of this lipgloss when my parcel arrived and I thought yeah, this is alright, but not much more of it. However, next time I glanced in the mirror, I was proper amazed and little hearts appeared in my eyes like that emoji guy. I had totally forgotten that this was a matte lipgloss and was totally not expecting how bloody great it would look! I had no idea!!! And bloody hell, it's matte like no other!!

I topped it up with another coat, for a super strong matte colour, and that was that. SOLD. I imagine this must be similar to the effect that Mac's new matte range has - and I can now totally understand why people were so excited for its launch. I doubletook when I saw my reflection the second time - it looking flipping mint. Even though my lips were pretty dry and not especially moisturised before application, the product didn't make them look chapped or dry, like I've experienced with other mattifying products [and with this very questionnable Wet n Wild lipgloss I reviewed a while ago.] They looked smooth, matte and moisturised.

Just look at that colour. It's a stunning orangey red - the EXACT shade I was looking for last year at around Christmas, after being inspired by Louise Thompson off MIC and the one and only Delevingne. The matte finish is evident pretty much as soon as the product hits your skin and is extremely long lasting. The shade might be slightly different to how it was pictured on the website [I think Born Pretty have actually updated their product images since my order] but you know what - I don't even care. And for that price, too - it could have been a sack of sh*t and I'd still have been happy.

The only beef I have with this product is that it's waterproof. Don't get me wrong, this feature is also bloody brilliant - but it's waterproof to an extent where you have to really scrub at it with a babywipe to remove it. Once you've put this on, you're committed. You can't change your mind halfway through and decide to apply a different product - there's no easy going back, you end up removing the lip colour and half your facial makeup, if you're not careful. This having been said, the fact that it's waterproof is also insanely brilliant - you can rub at it and rub water on it and although there is a tiny bit of movement, the colour and intensity does not fade one bit. Wow. A lipgloss that can power through no matter how many Jagerbombs I throw at it. Life = complete.

I was overall that impressed with the longevity, appearance and smell of this product that I've since revisited Born Pretty's site and ordered pretty much the entire range of matte lipglosses [along with a few other bits, cos yeno - CHEAP!!] They are currently on sale for just $1.99 each, which works out at about £1.39 in sterling - with free shipping. Even I , the cheapest of the cheap skates, can not argue with this. I will post again with the other colours to let you know how I got on once they arrive, so you can see how they look irl. I'm super excited - if they're anywhere near as bright and matte as this first product, my makeup game will be permanently revolutionised.

Seriously though, I really recommend trying this product out. I wore it to the Post Office, somewhat unintentionally as it's waterproof and I didn't realise when I tried it out for the very first time. In that time, a small child made their way across to me and was transfixed by my face. She kept pointing at my makeup and hair and telling her Grandma about it, before then began to compliment me on my makeup. She wouldn't effing leave me alone, in all honesty. Normally, alls I get is mad old smackheads breathing down my ear and commenting on the large amount of fruit flies they've seen this year when I join that Post Office queue of doom [don't even ask] - so this was most definitely a turn up for the books!

What do you think of this look? Do you have any matte lip product recommendations / top application tips? Have you ordered from Born Pretty before? Keep your eyes peeled over on my blog and Instagram over the next couple of weeks to see more of my lipgloss lovin' and also, to find out more about the other goodies Born Pretty sent me!

*This product was gifted to me by Born Pretty Store; but all opinions are a] honest as sin and b] my own.

Look what arrived today guys, my SlendertoxTea* from the Bloggers' Hangout #TwitterParty!! [Pahaha, I accidentally missed the 'w' out of Twitter when I typed that and laughed like a schoolboy at the word tit #mature.] It actually arrived earlier on in the week, but I got home from work to find the red Post Office card of doooooom waiting for me, so I've had to wait until today for Postie [the name he refers to himself as] to redeliver it.

I'm quite excited to try this. I don't want to pure drop loadsa pounds, as I'm at a healthy weight right now [despite all the biscuits] and intend to keep it that way. So I won't be using this product to lose weight. Instead, I'm keen as hell to see if SlendertoxTea helps with decreasing bloating and increasing my energy levels - like it says on the packet. I hate feeling bloaty - though it is probably my own doing sometimes, after I've wolfed down an entire chicken chow mein and small chips in 6 minutes, without coming up for air. I'd also like to detox and get any lingering crap [probably quite literally] out of my body, so I can feel refreshed and healthy this summer; rather than the way I spent last summer [decrepid and limpy] whilst I was recovering after surgery.

These teas have been around for a while now, but despite reading a few blog posts about them, I'm still pretty clueless. So I'll whack a bit more info below; the blurb from the back of the packet, how you should use them, what they look like and my first impressions. I'll obv report back with how I got on too, once I've had the chance to put these babies to the test. #ComeAtMeBikiniBody [and also, the money to book a holiday, please.]

I was sent two sachets of SlendertoxTea, which make up a full 14 day Teatox.

The bigger, pink sachet is filled with 14 x DayTox teabags and the smaller blue sachet contains 7 x Sleeptox teabags. The Daytox teabags look very similar to the Sleeptox ones; but the Sleeptox bags look a little bit greener, as though they perhaps contain slightly different stuff [UPDATE: I've just read the ingredients and they do.] You drink a cup of the Daytox tea each morning when you wake and enjoy a Sleeptox brew every other night throughout the course of your Teatox, a few hours before you go to sleep.

Both sachets advise that you should use a medium sized cup of warm [but not boiling water] in order to brew up and to let your teabag stew in the water for 2-3 minutes, depending on your tolerance and sensitivity to the stuff [everyone reacts to things differently.]

The reported benefits of the Teatox are:

- Colon health
- Promoting a healthy change
- Feeling refreshed
- and less bloating.

SlendertoxTea advise that if you experience erm... well, raging diarrhoea or anything untoward in the poo parlour department, that you stop using the teabags pretty pronto.

I have read a few blog posts where people have reported a fair few poo probz, so I'm definitely going to start this Teatox at the beginning of a weekend, as they suggest on the packet. I don't want to be caught short in work. I've also been on antibiotics this week and have just taken my Vitamin D tablet for my brittle ass bones, so I don't particularly want to sh*t these things out just yet, either. Due to such [and some upcoming blood tests] I'm not going to start my Teatox for a week or so, just in case. The story of that bird who got pregnant cos she didn't realise that Teatoxes would cause her to sh*t out her contraceptive pill haunts me - particularly as I actually went to school with her, so it seems somewhat closer to home haha.

The teabags themselves smell really nice; like something I'll enjoy drinking. They smell like tea but with a zingy, minty smell - which certainly leads me to believe they'll be very refreshing. I'll post here, on Twitter and on Instagram with my results  - during and after the Teatox - so keep your eyes peeled [and I promise I'll keep anything poo related on the down-low. Though you do know I like to overshare hahaaah. ]

/

Have you tried a Teatox before? If you like the sound of this one, you can check SlendertoxTea out on Twitter, Insta, Facebook or their website for more deets.

*I was sent this Teatox by SlendertoxTea as part of the Bloggers' Hangout #TwitterParty recently. All opinions are very much [and will very much be] my own. It's not big or clever to lie, so you have my word and that.

I love reading personal posts. I also love to overshare freely - to anyone who'll listen / read my rambling, which makes writing them ideal, too.

When it comes to writing, it's always best when you blog about what you know, I think. So I couldn't write a post about perfume, as I'm terrible at explaining fragrances; my knowledge of ingredients and how they work together extends about as far as 'it smells well nice' or 'it smells like hell on earth.' I'm not great at advising how you can get the perfect smokey eye or how to craft a beautifully sculpted HD brow, either. Yeah, I make my own face look presentable; but I do this by [mostly] winging it [not just with my eyeliner] and via stalking other people's YouTube tutorials.

What I do know, is my own life. Things that I have, do, feel and on the odd occasion, purchase. So for today's post, I wanted to share some of the ins and outs of my existence with you; similar / inspired I guess by the way Jemma of Dorkface blog fame does in her fab Friday Five series [I heart reading these posts so much.] But obv less good. And probably containing a lot more swearing [#PottymouthProbz.] My New Year might have started off in a massively turd way - but how have the following couple of weeks been? Well, I'll tell ya.

What's gone down in LoveLaughsLipstick town over these past couple of weeks, then?

The Good...

1. Ever since the Blogger's Hangout Twitter Party just before New Year,  I have actually made it to a few Twitter Chats!! Granted, I've pretty much been late every time and on the odd occasion, I've kinda drifted off towards the end and missed the part where everyone links up [last time this happened, it was due to me getting enticed by a Toffee Crisp bar, which was totes worth it] - but I'm happy that I've made the effort and really enjoyed getting to know more of you. So provided I don't have half of Asda's confectionary aisle in the cupboard to distract me next time, I should be able to see a chat through to the end properly!

/

2.  I've been to appointments at the hospital and the dentist [two of my worst fears] this week; which although reduced me to a quivering wreck in the waiting rooms, was defo a good thing as I have pushed myself to face my fears again - and take responsibility for my health.

I had a cheeky scale and polish at the dentist - this, combined with my use of OSHUNwhite, means that my smile is now the whitest I've ever seen it. Also, quick fact for you - I've always used Corsodyl mouthwash; as the adverts on the TV where that woman's tooth is missing and her sink fills up with blood scared the living bejesus out of me. Turns out however, that using Corsodyl stains your teeth to sh*t - so unless you're advised to use it because you have gum disease or something, avoid it like the plague!!

AND big news - I was discharged from the hospital :} :} :} I've never really written about it on my blog, but I unfortunately had an accident 16 months ago in Turkey where I broke my hip and had to have it pinned. This time last year, I was in a wheelchair and couldn't walk. I was on crutches for nine months as it all healed and then after a bone scan, it turned out I have a cheeky bit of Osteoporosis / Osteopenia in my hypermobile joints. FML. Like, actually. Anyway, when I went back this time for my X-ray, the hot consultant was happy with how the fracture had healed and said he was happy to discharge me. Woohoo! I can now learn to run and jump and hop again, and hopefully get my life back this year. I'm very grateful for all the doctors, nurses and consultants who've looked after me - not to mention the two surgeons in Turkey who performed the surgery so well.

/

3. I've had a couple of really relaxed weekends; seeing friends and their mischievous babies, sleeping and lounging about. And Insta stalking. When it comes to lounging about but still looking cool as hell, this fab, vintage Ellesse Prado* top I was sent by Reem Clothing is perfect. I actually blogged about this a while ago [so for more details, you can check the post out here - please be aware that my blog has come on dramatically since I first wrote this post and now my old photos proper make me cringe.]

I'd never heard of Reem Clothing before working with them, but their service and range of clothing is fab. And their prices surprised me, too. Really reasonable, considering the designer status of most of their garments! This particular top is only £20 [!!!!] and is actually from the men's section; but girls, we can rock men's clothing just as much as they can - this top is perfect to style with a choker, leggings and converse or to throw on for the gym.

I'd defo recommend checking out their site - especially if you're thinking of treating your other half to something a bit stylish for Valentines this year. There is nothing better than a man wearing marl grey *swoons* PLUS Reem have a 75% off sale on some of their items at the moment. So you could potentially take the pleasure of seeing a bloke in marl grey and multiply it by about a million, knowing that the price you paid for it was with a 75% dizzy.

The Bad....

1. HOW SH*TTING COLD IT IS.

2. How bloody poor I am [still] and how I am literally fuming I haven't managed to win the Lottery yet.

3. How many times I've craved Dominos, but not been able to justify blowing a whole week's food budget on one gourmet tea.

4. That I really need to defrost the freezer, but have a major case of CBA - and now the second drawer is frozen shut, permanently. Holding my oven chips hostage.

5. Using Google to self diagnose. I keep getting an ear infection, right - and I googled ear infections last night and read an article where a man DIED from one. Slammed the laptop closed at this point - why can't there be a cheerful symptom checker, that doesn't make you feel like you're knocking at death's door?

New Challenges

I tried out vlogging this week! Pure sat nattering away to myself on camera. However, my conclusions from this experiment were that a] my eyebrows are a joke and b] my chin is massive; so I need to re-evaluate my entire face before trying this out again.

Things I've loved...

1. Uber - why had I never tried this out before?! Literally the most convenient thing ever. I never, ever carry cash [normally because I never sh*tting have any] so allowing my credit card to take the fall for all the trips I take is a lifesaver.

/

2. Discovering new blogs! Three blogs I've really loved this week [and that you should totally check out] are:

Frey De Fleur - www.freydefleur.com
Dayna Marie - www.daynamarie.co.uk
Barely There Beauty - www.barelytherebeauty.com

3. Joining #TheGirlGang and getting pure inspired by all the amazing positivity you guys radiate

4. Discovering how fit Nutella spread is. WHY DID NOONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS?!

/

What have the first few weeks of 2016 held for you guys? Did you enjoy this post, or prefer when I ramble on about other things? I'd love to hear your thoughts / be mates.

* items marked with an asterisk were gifted to me, but all opinions are my own and are in no way influenced by anyone else but me

It's no secret that I'm a cheapskate / right tight-arse when it comes to coin. I'd love to flash the cash like a bad-ass pimp, but I don't really have any [and I'm like the complete opposite of a pimp.] Money is particularly thin on the ground for me at the moment - so if I pass by a penny literally lying on the ground, I'm on it like a car bonnet; regardless of the high chance that said penny has been urinated on by the local scallys, so that they can observe me picking it up from a distance and lol. Lads, there was a time in my life where I couldn't go outside without being viciously pooed on by a seagull [and don't even mention those weeks of dog poo doom] - do you think a tiny bit of wee is going to put me off?

For someone who drops their phone as regularly as I do, it has become evident that some kind of protective shell is a must. And obv, the best protective shells are those that ooze glitter, hearts and pink unicorn vibes. I started phonecase shopping at Christmas [after a spate of dropping my phone quite aggressively on laminate flooring] and found some absolute beauts; such as pretty much the entirety of Skinny Dip's collection.

Skinny Dip's range of cases cause little pink hearts to appear in my eyes, like the emoji. However, their price tags make my actual heart sink pretty quickly. I can't justify spending a week's food budget on one luxury item [no matter how glittery and triumphant this item would be.] Fear not however - as I've found an el cheapo alternative / imitation / knock off of Skinny Dip's glitter cases on eBay, for just £3.75 including postage, that's truly rocked my [thermal] socks. And I want to share the joy with you.

How pretty is this, please?!

These cases come in other colours - with different glitter options available, too - and are made to fit most of today's smartphones. Did I mention that they also come with free flipping delivery - and that this free postal service was that rapid, that my glittery case of triumph and pink arrived in just two days, despite me ordering it over Christmas and during the time that Royal Mail were more erratic with their deliveries than Britain's weather is at the moment!! The glitter swishes about as you move your phone; it's oddly mesmerising. I've lost many a minute sitting staring at it, like the loser I am hahaha.

I wanted to share this discovery with you, so that your phone too can be pretty, glittery and a right diva - for a fraction of the price you'd have to pay on the high street! And the money this'll save you can go towards much more important stuff; such as bourbon biscuits and chocolate oranges [just like mine did]. #Priorities. Thanks eBay, you little babe.

Click HERE if you want to order one of these babies / find out more

What kind of case do you dress your phone in? Where do you get your tech accessories from?

I'm a terrible blogger / excuse for a bird. Before I began working with OSHUNwhite, I was clueless what oil pulling even was. I genuinely thought it was something you did to your hair. Thankfully, I have now realised the error of my ways and I can safely say that since those dark, uneducated days; my knowledge of oil pulling and its benefits has improved tenfold. And I haven't rubbed any in my hair yet. Honest.

When the lovely team at OSHUNwhite dropped me a line to see if I'd like to try out their products, it was time for me to learn more. And after a quick stalk of their website, I realised that oil pulling was very much for me. I don't make much effort at all with my hair, but it turns out that oil pulling is actually for your teeth - who knew? [here's the shameful bit when every single one of you knew this and it was just me imagining people literally pulling oil through their hair for all this time...] And after such an amazing experience with OSHUNwhite's products, I can safely say that it's fricking awesome, too.
