Born Pretty Store is one of those websites I could spend hours days stalking. You know when you watch a video on YouTube, and then find another, then watch another ... and fall into a YT hole for a few hours, before you realise the time? Just like that.

They sell literally everything you could ever dream of - there's all kinds of intriguing gadgets / beauty products on their website; and everything's amazingly cheap [my fav.] Honestly, check them out - you'll be amazed at the variety of stuff available [plus you can get 10% off with code AINH10 at the checkout, yeno...]

Born Pretty have a massive range of makeup dupes / replicas on their site, so I chose a few from their selection to put to the test!

As you can see here in the side by side shots, these two HD Concealers* I ordered from BPS are replicas / dead ringers for the LA Girl Pro Concealer. I'm a big fan of the LA Girl Concealers and am also massively into colour correcting products, as my face is some kind of sick joke at the moment and needs some serious brightening. New Year, new me and all that - and by new me, I mean a me who doesn't resemble the walking dead with massive bags for life under my eyes.

I was super excited to try these out. And what made me even more excited is that at present, these concealers are selling on Born Pretty's site for just $2.79 [approx £2.27 each!!!] with free shipping - life doesn't get much cheaper than that! #AllAboutThoseBargs

I'm really impressed with them, tbh. The amazing price aside, they apply well, are dead pigmented, blend like a dream and last the test of time. The pink one especially helps, when it comes to colour correcting my troubled skin. Definitely going to purchase some of these in other shades - such as the green - in the very near future. I mean, it'd be rude not to, right?!

This next product is a total dupe / replica of the NYX Wonderstick - which I tried quite recently and hated. This was a surprise, as usually I love NYX and would marry their products in a heartbeat, but the Wonderstick left big grubby smears down my face every time I used it and it knocked me sick

I wanted to try a similar product to the Wonderstick to see whether it was any better, or whether I just can't use sticks when it comes to contouring. I therefore chose to test out this Highlight / Contour stick in the shade S2, which retails for just $2.99 [approx £2.43] and was a total steal compared to NYX's higher pricepoint.

Debatable spelling aside [highlighe, anyone?!] this stick was much better than the NYX one. It has a lighter, creamier consistency which seemed to blend a lot better than the Wonderstick. The highlighter end of the stick I haven't really used, as it arrived a bit broken and I'm not really into highlighting - but it too has a similar consistency to the contouring end of the stick.

I think I possibly chose the wrong shade for my skin with the contouring end of the crayon [it comes up quite warm on my skin, so is more of a bronzer / natural effect on me] but as you can see from the swatches below, the pay off is great and super versatile. If you're looking for a new product to help up your contouring game [for a reasonable price] I'd defo recommend this.

Lastly, I chose this Matte, Smokey Eye palette in shade 3 to review; because it just looked so flipping cute. Not sure it's a direct replica of any current palettes on the market [it does have some Urban Decay vibes and I also saw a L'Oreal palette which, tbf, it was pretty much identical to] but the shades are all very on point and tones I've seen in many a makeup bag this season. It retails for just $3.99 [approx £3.25] and with ten shades in each choice of palette, I had to have one.

I mean, the brush isn't up to much [are they ever, in palettes? I always use my own brushes rather than the ones included] but you can't fault this little beaut, really. Each shade is totally on point and the casing is lightweight, durable and slimline. It's also super Instagrammable, with a wide range of matte, smokey shadows that are ideal to have on hand for any last minute nights out.

Some of the shadows are more pigmented than others, but there are some really lovely, autumnal tones in this palette. I've swatched a few of my favourite shades below - once blended and built up on your eyelid and crease, I believe these eyeshadows have some real potential and would be interested to try some of the other shades Born Pretty have available in this palette.
