As a [very] part time blogger / full time gambler trying to [one day] get that lottery win that changes my life & allows me to write full time; I have nothing but respect, admiration and a little envy towards those starting up their own business. To go it alone, to do what makes you truly happy and to try & turn your passion into success. I massively ship the idea of supporting these independent businesses and #shoppingsmall - especially at Christmas

I've ordered a large percentage of my Christmas gifts online this year, via Etsy - which has fast become my new obsession. The range of products on Etsy is colossal and it's massively inspiring - especially when it comes to gift shopping. Rather than trawling the over-rammed high street [picking out the same gifts as everyone else] shopping people's creations, aspirations and dreams via Etsy ensures that your gift stands out from the crowd and won't be something your recipient has ever seen before. And that's what this post is all about - with the spotlight shining firmly on Jekyll's Candles Etsy Store*.

Everyone loves a good candle at Christmas. Yankee Candles fly off the shelves like there's no tomorrow, and we bloggers are in our element; Instagramming our cosy, festive nights in with some wax melts and a duvet. But why buy candles which [in my opinion] are over-priced and over-rated for what they are, when you can pick up candles & melts for a fraction of the price online? Unique, individual products made with love; SUPER reasonably priced and available in new fragrances that we haven't all smelt a million times before [soz Yankee Candles, mate.] I can safely say Jekyll's Candles are the one.

Sarah, the creative force behind Jekyll's Candles, very kindly sent me some of her beautiful wax melts - in hot-off-the-press, brand new fragrances. From the moment this little parcel of triumph entered my home - up until to this day - it's never smelt so good. These beautifully crafted soy melts smell unreal - with strong, long lasting fragrances even before you've popped them in a Wax Melt Burner. All Sarah's melts are handmade, and she'll soon be stocking candles too - which I'm super excited about.

They look great, they smell amazing and price wise - they're unbeatable. A pack of five, handmade melts costs just £3 INCLUDING UK P&P. How amazing is that?! These cute melts make THE perfect stocking stuffers for any candle obsessed recipient; and the scent will remind them of you and memories of Christmas 2016 forever.

The fragrances I have here are:

Dark Grey Melts - Vanilla
Mid Grey Melts - Black Cherry
Purple Melts - Candyfloss [NEW fragrance, only added yesterday!]
Pink Melts - Gingerbread
Yellow Melts - Green Apple

There couldn't be a more perfect fragrance for Christmas than the Gingerbread scented melts - the smell is subtly spiced, festive and cosy. All the melts smell literally unreal - like so, so good, and their fragrances last for days. My personal favourite is the Green Apple scent, which smells lovely and fresh - closely followed by Vanilla

Jekyll's Candles are new to the scene when it comes to social media - so let's give Sarah the welcome she deserves and follow her Instagram here - or check out her Facebook page. The Jekyll's Candles Twitter account is coming soon too - and I can't wait to see what Sarah has in store for it. And of course, make Sarah AND your loved ones' day this Christmas, by checking out her fab up-and-coming Etsy Store. Your home will never smell the same again.
