I HAVE A NEW FAV EVER TAN TO SHARE WITH YOU TODAY HUNS. YES, THE CAPS ARE NECESSARY COS I PROPER LOVE IT & YOU GUYS NEED TO KNOW THAT. But I'll stop now I've got that point across; cos I know that caps typing is pretty much the equivalent of me yelling, and I don't wanna be obnoxious or nothin'.
Bali Body reached out to me recently and kindly sent me a bottle of their Bali Body Tanning Mousse* in Dark [they know the score - go big or go home is my tanning motto] along with one of their luxury Tanning Mitts* to try out - and it's all I've used since. I've gone from never having heard of the brand to obsessing over them on the daily; and as a tanning obsesso with at least 30 bottles in my wardrobe, that is big.
Why do I love it so much? Well, there's a multitude of reasons; so grab a brew and a stack of biscuits hun. Cos with Bali Body fake tan, you can enjoy biscuits without smelling of them.
First off, I wanna give a lil shout out to their packaging & branding. It's so pretty. Not just of this particular bottle of fake tan too - the other products on their website are insanely beaut; actual branding goals tbh. Even before I'd tried the product, I was a little bit taken aback by how pretty the bottle is when compared to the plain, sorta medical looking appearance of other brands' designs. Even their SPFs are sexy.
I always reach for fake tanning mousses over any other formula; as I find them much easier to use and that the results are much more consistent, predictable and even all-over. So this again gets the product a big thumbs up from me.
The mousse itself comes out with a stain / colour-guide, so you can see where you've applied it & ensure that you don't miss a spot. This makes it ded easy to apply - even for beginners.
The foam stains the skin the nicest bronzed shade from the get-go - it's one of a very few fake tans where the mousse formula is so soft and velvety that it blends flawlessly and evenly into your skin the moment you apply & rub it in with the mitt. It's natural looking, even & a lovely bronze - I've worn the stain out before washing it off and no-one has been any the wiser [I like to leave the tan on for as long as humanely possible] to build the darkest colour.
The end result of the tan is lovely - on me it's not what I'd call ded dark, but it looks natural and not streaky... and it's cool-toned; rather than that dreaded orangey-warm undertone which looks terrible on my cold-ass skin-tone. It fades gradually and doesn't gather in patches on its way out; too.
I also really like the unique shape of the mitt - I've never had one with the thumb shape before. Though I found I didn't really use this feature much when I was applying my tan, it did defo give the mitt extra movement and more precision.
I've been that impressed with my new Bali Body fake tan - and how quick and easy it is to apply, it's been all I've used since it arrived in my life. Which is great news - but also sad, as the bottle is very soon going to have ran out!
Bali Body have gone from being a brand I'd never heard of, to one I swear by - and if you're looking for a new fake tan to try out, I'd definitely recommend trying their mousse. I'm off to coat myself in another layer, ready for New Year!
What's your favourite fake tanning product?
