I love fake tan. Life is HONESTLY so much better with a tan - my clothes look less sh*t, my makeup applies better and my self confidence is at an all-time high when I've got my glow-on. I first started experimenting with fake tan about 15 years ago [yeah alright, I'm old] .... and having navigated myself through the disasters, triumphs, discoveries and set-backs I feel like I've now qualified to talk quite knowledgeably on the subject. So I'm here today to do exactly that.

I first discovered Bali Body last year [here] and fell in LOVE. The packaging, the aesthetic, the product, the ethos. They're just the most gorgeous tanning products - I've used up every last drop of my tanning mousse of theirs & recommend that every tanning obsesso looks them up pronto

One of my friends who lives in the US sent me a selfie of her in her bathroom recently, and I clocked a bottle of Bali Body on her shelf, too! I was like 'OMG JEN I NEVER KNEW YOU USED BALI BODY!!!' and we wept over-enthusiastically over how bloody good it is for a good few minutes.

So yeah. They recently sent over a bottle of their newly released Face Tan Water* for me to try out [along with a cheeky Shimmery Body Oil*] - hence why I'm here today to weep over them with you. That packaging - it's legit impossible to take a bad photo of these stunners.

Bali Body's new Face Tanning Water [which my mate Jen was super jealous I'd managed to get my hands on!] is a fab blend of skincare mixed with fake tan. Perfect for those of you who are a bit scared to fake tan ya face with your regular tan; in fear or streaky disasters or breakouts. It's just like a toner - I apply it with a cotton wool pad, and it's just a clear, cleanser / toner type consistency you wipe over the face for a gradual tanning effect.

I tend to apply it at night after my normal skincare routine [lol, when I remember to do that, I can't pretend I'm all grown-up and have my life in order cos I defo don't] to give it time to build whilst I sleep. Just make sure you wash your hands afterwards and be careful when using the pump dispenser - try to avoid dripping / squirting any out onto the rest of your skin [something I did the first time I used it, not realising the error of my ways!] Definitely apply with a cotton pad, cloth or mitt. It's so clear and easy to use, you forget it's actually a tanning product 😂

The water smells fragrant - perfumed, floral & nice... not like that classic fake tan biscuits of hell aroma. It's literally just what its name suggests - water. With miracle tanning properties! The tan it builds to give you is natural even and not instantly noticeable - as in, it looks natural & in-keeping with your natural skintone. I forgot I'd applied it the first time I used it, and was proper puzzled for a while in the morning when I'd woken up as to why my skin looked so good 😂

It's not ded tacky, it doesn't dry out the skin and there's no chance of you waking up to a brown, fake-tan stained pillow in the morning thanks to its clear formula  - I like it a lot. The size of the bottle means it's great to take away on holiday with you too; to tan your face of an evening after you've protected it with SPF during the day #SunlessTanning

Another absolute hun when it comes to holiday beauty [and for adding a sexy shimmer on top of your freshly fake tanned glow] is this Shimmering Body Oil. I've seen all those pure worldies on Instagram use this stuff in their snaps [and diiiiiiied at how flawless their figures are] so I was keen AF to try it out for myself.

The oil applies really nicely - it' dries fast, it's not sticky and instead leaves your skin feeling dead smooth, hydrated & silky. I've used this on my legs and I've never seen my thighs look so Insta-worthy tbh! It's subtle, hydrating, nourishing and absolutely perfect to apply on holiday for your evening meal / drinks to enhance that tan you've been working on through the day. FIT.

Once again I've been BLOWN AWAY by Bali Body - if you're looking to explore new, cruelty-free tanning brands, these guys should totally be on your radar. I've never had such a pretty fake tan product shelf 💗
