I've been spoilt by Ark Skincare recently - who are a brand I've tried once or twice in the past [thanks to British Beauty Box & others] but whom I've learned loads more about thanks to their recent generosity.

Their inclusive range - and the number of different collections this fab, cruelty-free brand offers to target specific skincare concerns [and age groups] is great. Although I knew of Ark Skincare I didn't realise quite how many products they offer; including the:

πŸ’— Age Protect Collection - formulated for your teens & 20s
πŸ’— Age Defend Collection - formulated for your 30s & 40s
πŸ’— Age Defy Collection - formulated for your 50s onwards
πŸ’— Skin Essential Collection - daily essentials to enhance your regime
πŸ’— Skin Perfector Collection - targeted treatments for every skin concern
πŸ’— Body Beautiful Collection - indulgent products for body & mind

Todays post is a lil overview of Ark Skincare themselves & of the goodies they treated me to recently; which I've been working into my skincare routine over the past few weeks.

Ark Skincare pride themselves on being effective, affordable & cruelty-free; using natural ingredients suitable for even the most sensitive of skin. They treat skin primarily by age - but also by skin concern. Their range of age specific products ensure you address the needs of your skin according to how old you are... and Ark's products tackle everything from breakouts and redness, to pigmentation & dullness.

Their range has three main ranges - the key age specific lines we touched on above. Protect for teens & 20s, Defend for 30s & 40s and Defy for those over 50. Each of these collections is supported by Ark's Skin Perfectors; highly effective targeted products to treat specific skin concerns - and Skin Essentials, a family of every day products for all ages and lifestyles. Combining the products from the groups above means you can tailor-make a skincare program that's bespoke & unique to your needs.

Ark recommend you start building your bespoke combo of skincare products by first identifying the range that fits your age & picking up the Cleanser and Moisturiser from it. These have been formulated to contain optimum levels of vitamins, minerals, lipids and antioxidants for your age; leaving you with beaut, healthy skin.

Next up, it's time to choose your treatments from the Skin Perfector range to address any skin complaints you're suffering from.

Thirdly, pop in a few products from the Ark Skin Essentials range to complement your lifestyle.

And finally, to ensure a balance of body and mind, Ark recommend that you explore their Body Beautiful and Spa Aromatic ranges. Of course, you don't have to do any of these steps and can simply pick out whatever the bloody hell you want; but I thought I'd share their tips anyway... as they're probably a bit more informed than some of the stuff I ramble on about!

SO. Let's kick off with my thoughts about the items I've been trying out then. In no particular order, we have:

πŸ’— Ark Age Defend Replenishing Moisturiser* [yes, huge giveaway re: my age here, as much as I look about 12 I'm actually 31 and in the more mature skincare category now πŸ˜‚]
πŸ’— Ark Age Defend Conditioning Cleanser*
πŸ’— Ark Skin Essential Pre-Cleanse & Makeup Remover* [mini]

and - a product which joined the party a little later on during my trial - Ark Skin Essential Skin Protector SPF30 Primer*.

Each of the products has a lovely fresh fragrance - similar to Monu products, if you's have ever tried them? [another fave of mine.] They're gentle, don't dry out the skin, have beaut packaging and dispense nicely too; avoiding waste. That last point has made me realise how old I actually am, but I stick by it.

The Age Defend Replenishing Moisturiser is probs one of my favourites from the products I've been trying. It's quick drying, lightweight and not tacky / oily / thick / greasy at all; meaning you can apply it before makeup or bed... and not feel like a slippery, shiny beast.

A little goes a long way and you can almost feel the goodness in it as you massage it into ya skin. I love the dispenser on this too - the push down top design is a novelty I still can't quite get over in skincare products. It feels, smells and looks luxurious - as well as being totally vegan-friendly.

It contains clinically-proven wrinkle plumping peptides to smooth, plump and tone the skin; diminishing signs of premature ageing. And I'm all about fending them off for as long as I can!

I use the Pre-Cleanser and Cleanser pretty much every day. I am running a bit low on the Pre-Cleanser now [I may have had an incident where I knocked it into the bath without the lid on πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚] but the cleanser will last me for aaaaaages - the bottle is huge.

These products' formulas remind me a little of some of the products I've tried from Dermalogica... just more affordable. They're effective & gentle and don't sting or burn as they cleanse. Would defo recommend - especially the Cleanser.

Lastly, a little appreciation needed for the newest Ark product to grace my collection; their Skin Protector SPF30 Primer. I've been using this as a primer [shocker!] & applying it before makeup, to ensure that my skin is protected when I'm out and about in the sunshine. As someone who's now on the older spectrum of life, I worry terribly about turning pure wrinkly with sun damage / age spots; so it's nice to know this lil hun is working its magic underneath my base products.

Ark [who are much better with words than me] describe this lil babe as 'An ideal make up primer too as it ensures a smooth luminous base on which to apply make up, and make-up glides on effortlessly with an airbrush finish and lasts all day long' - but you can also use this product as a moisturiser on its own. Sometimes I do this too - whacking a quick layer on after a shower, to look after me massive face as I'm blowdrying my hair.

It's light-weight, not tacky, quickly absorbed and makes a great base for makeup - my foundation [like, even the cheapo crappy ones I wear on days where I'm not that arsed about the state of me mug] applies really evenly on top of this primer and lasts well throughout the day too; with minimal oxidising πŸ™Œ

I think that's enough rambling from me for one day - but you get the gist of this don't ya? I've really enjoyed trying out more Ark Skincare products, would defo repurchase and will continue to use the goodies I've got as part of my daily routine for the foreseeable!

Have you tried anything from this brand before?
*This post contains items I was gifted for the purpose of review, but all opinions are mine & dead legit; pinky prom xo
