I've got so much better at skincare in 2019. I might still be every bit as broke, have miserably failed in my goal to book a holiday & I'm still without my pet sausage dog called Wilson - but I can cling on to my [albeit minimal] skincare education. And that's something.

I've swatched, slathered on & soaked in soooo many different products this year; it's been great. I've discovered new brands, new releases, new ingredients and new things that work for my skin - as well as a few bits I'll avoid in the future [namely ones that smell like the actual pits of hell or have congealed within about a week into rancid slimes.]

I'm not ready to say goodbye to Summer yet. Or ever. It's gonna be time to promote my reasons why I hate Autumn blog posts soon, before morphing into the miserable, cold season hating crank that I am; but Summer forever lives on in my heart. And no, I'm not high RN... I just love the warmer months that much. K?

Today's post keeps that Summer dream alive for me. I've compiled some of my favourite skincare discoveries from SS19 into this post to share with you - products which yes, are proper mint for use during the warmer, better months of the year, but also totes have their uses during the colder, crappy months too. All round 10/10's. So let's meet them.

Lumity Facial Oil* [something which I've tried and loved before, in this post] is a gorgeously nourishing product; with a lovely scent which makes me all nostalgic. Although it's more of an anti-aging product, I actually find this stuff to be more of an all rounder - it brightens & evens out my face noticeably and seems to reduce the appearance of any rogue breakouts I encounter, too.

Lumity are a luxury skincare and supplement brand; stocked both here in the UK & in the US. They specialise in creating anti-aging products for wellness and beauty. Aimed at queens in their late twenties and beyond [me AF, I think I'll pretend I'm 29 forever xox] Lumity's products are packed full of science to ensure that their wellness capsules and facial oils help us feel our best.

Next up for some lovin' are, of course, my worlds over at Pixi. I do really like Pixi - they're affordable, accessible & effective; some of my faves from their collection being their Glow Tonic [of course, who doesn't love this magical stuff?] and their eyeshadow palettes... which are ded creamy, blendable, long-lasting & pigmented AF.

I had a minor breakdown on Instagram not so long ago about the incredible bundle of new Pixi Vitamin C Collection goodies I was kindly sent [dunno if you saw... probs best you didn't like, cos I get all sweary & squeaky when I'm excitable] - and naturally, a couple of these huns have made it into this post.

A couple of products from the collection I've properly been enjoying are the Pixi Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser* andddd the Pixi Vitamin-C Tonic* which are both new additions to the Pixi fam. The toner reminds me of Glow Tonic [the OG / apple of my eye] and definitely brightens & clears my skin - and the cleanser is lovely. Dead easy to use, smells fresh AF, is really effective and doesn't sting. I'm cruising through the bottle at an impressive pace, with zero regrets.

Here's a new brand to the blog for ya - Delph*. A word which reminds me of DILFs; another thing I'm quite fond of. This vegan-friendly, waterproof SPF [which comes in a huge tube] is just £3.59 for SPF 50, £2.79 for SPF 30, £1.79 for SPF 15 and After Sun Lotion / Gel is just £1.09... making high quality sun protection affordable - something I totally applaud. Delph products are available to shop in several well-known pharmacies; and at weldricks.co.uk.

You might think - LOL BUT IT'S NOT SUMMER NOW, R U ON CRACK? But the reality is, we should all wear SPF daily to avoid damage from UVA/B rays and environmental aggressors. A good SPF under makeup helps prevent signs of ageing & skin damage - and this product is perfect to do just this. It can be worn as a lightweight SPF primer under makeup and it'll last you f o r e v e r without breaking the bank.

I wrote another profession of unbridled love for the Ark Skincare products I was sent to try recently - I've been really enjoying using them.

A particular favourite I wanted to give an individual shout-out to in this post is this Ark AgeDefend Replenishing Moisturiser* - it's so easy to apply, fine to use even before makeup [due to how lightweight, quickly absorbed and non-greasy it is] nourishing and it's vegan-friendly too. Which I stan, as the cool kids would say [would they? I'm that out of touch I feel like a Grandma.]

Finally, let's give a warm round of applause for this old favourite / Summer staple; Jurlique's Rosewater Balancing Mist [this top-up bottle being one I received as part of my Latest in Beauty Grazia Edit, which you can read my review on here.] A beautifully floral, cooling refresher all year round tbh, this mist is an absolute Godsend during muggy days and an all-round lovely item to have in ya beauty stash. Or gift someone this Christmas.
