Another month, another abso bloody brilliant Little Known Box to get stuck into. This month's curation [August 2018*] is the Summer Scents edit and she has, quite frankly, blown me away with the brands & insane levels of beauty she was jam-packed with. I'm gonna share this excitement with you guys now; typing away whilst eating Nutella from the jar and humming Baby Shark like there's no tomorrow. I think I've nailed adulting, right?
A little intro to August's curation:
You can tell immediately from this raging great flatlay that I'm going to be very giddy throughout this post, as the box contains some of my fav brands; like Technic, Monuskin and Optiat.
I hate to admit it, but LKB have hit the nail on the head with their intro / theme this month. Summer is coming to a close [*weeps hysterically whilst proclaiming how much I can't cope*] but to soften the blow, August's box is full of products that've been hand-picked to help us enjoy the remainder of the sunshine, pamper and revitalise; with a selection of indulgent products.
August's LKB comes boasting a flourish of different aromas - in the shape of Optiat's invigorating, fruity coffee scrubs [I love them so bloody much, yeno], uplifting 'feel good' essential oils from Tisserand & a deluxe, spa quality Monuskin firming facial oil. To top it off, we have a super cute set of pink Vintage Cosmetic Company slanted tweezers and the fittest damn highlighter quad I've ever seen; from Technic, to help us prolong dat Summer glow. Here's a little more on each product for ya; featuring my opinions and probably overexcited swearing.
Tisserand Happy Vibes Roller Ball, Full Size, RRP £5.95
Using only 100% pure, natural essential oils; the babes at Tisserand allow us to explore the wonders of aromatherapy without pyar noxious chemicals or other nasties. I wasn't sure whether I'd be that struck on this scent at first [as lemons / zesty fragrances aren't really my vibe] but with undertones of bergamot & nutmeg in there to add a different dimension to the roller ball's aroma; I'm feelin' it.

Monuskin Firming Fiji Facial Oil, Full Size, RRP £23.95
I frigging love Monuskin yeno. I was lucky enough to work with them a little while ago [see here] and when I was proper on death's door in hospital this time last year, they sent me a little bundle of goodies to cheer me up as a kind little gesture [which legit set me off howling with all da feels.] Their products are so luxurious, effective and beautifully packaged; I'd rate literally everything I've ever tried from them as a 10/10 yeno. And that's praise indeed, coming from a miserable old crank like me! Can't wait to try this lux facial oil, which is suitable for all skin types.
The Vintage Cosmetic Company Slanted Tweezers, Full Size, RRP £8
Well, if there was ever a pair of tweezers more suited to my Instagram theme, hey? 😂 These bad lads are pink, beautifully packaged and the ideal slanted, precise shape you need when you're having a full on grade A mare with ya brows. Which is everyday of my existence. Useful, pretty and another full sized product. Wot a curation, LKB!
Optiat Body Scrub Pamper Kit, Sample Size
I proper bum a good coffee scrub. Almost as much as I enjoy drinking it [coffee itself, that is, not these scrubs - when it comes to me brews, I'm all about this proper cheap brand I get from the offy across the road that no-one else likes.]
I adore the way the scrubs leave my skin feeling; fresh, soft and reinvigorated. They definitely help lift dead skin, remnants of fake tans past & get ya circulation going like a BEAST. I've used the Mandarin scrub already & I'm living my best life. Love you Optiat, hun xo
Technic Cosmetics Highlighter Quad, Full Size, RRP £4
Nope. Still can't cope. How amazing is this highlighter quad, pls?! And how high end does it look, given it only costs bloody £4 to buy!! I love Technic; they're one of my favourite, affordable AF, fast beauty brands - always adapting and releasing new goodies to slay the latest trends. This new highlighter quad looks absolutely incredible anddddd I will be featuring numerous new releases from this brand in an upcoming blog post, so keep them sexy peepers peeled dolls 👀
August's edit has been one of my fav LKB curations of recent months, and I'm living for it. I'll get stacks of use out of every single item in there, further illustrating why this is my favourite and [now] only subscription box I receive regularly.
