The guy you’ve been talking to for a few days now - after scoring a perfect pass on your London Dating App, wants to take you out for a drink. Prosecco? Yes please

The only problem is… you have to meet him after work. Wardrobe CRISIS! What can you wear to work that’ll take you from day(t)-2-night [see what we did there?] Here's a few ideas you might find useful.

Day-2-Night Wear | Outfits For The Office When You Have A Hot Date That night | Clikd App

WRAP IT UP
The warmer months are upon us which means that you can lock up your thick denier tights and opt for something summery. Wrap dresses are everywhere on the high-street at the moment and can be dressed up or dressed down! Opt for a longer length with buttons. Choosing something that you can alter how much cleavage is on show saves you from looking unprofessional and the ogling eyes.

Thank you to the holy grail of workwear suppliers such as Karen Millen and Marks & Spencers, summer is the perfect occasion to wear print to work. You can rely on florals at any time of the year. But with hotter temperatures and even hotter dates, why not try something a little bolder? Perhaps a shirt with a snake skin print? Or a polka dot dress? The options are endless for you to wear WOW factor fashion for both work and play. Totally fine if you want to dabble in a little print. Choose a stripy shirt and tuck it into some white wide-legged trousers to be totally très chic. Alternatively, chequered trousers! They add a little fun into your wardrobe without being OTT. Perfect for the nerves before a work-to-drinks date.

CHOOSE THE MIDI, NOT THE MINI!
Midi skirts are no longer something that your Gran used to wear. Something silky and flowing for the summer months will be your best friend for the sticky rush-hour tube journeys or temperamental heat-waves [thank you Britain.] For that look of luxury choose a deep green colour or leopard print. Make it date-worthy by wearing your skirt with kitten heels or a stylish sneaker.

POWER SUIT
Close the date like you close your meetings. Show them who’s boss in your power suit. Thanks to dad, and mum’s 80s wardrobe, oversized blazers are HOT. Giving you that sleek silhouette that oozes ‘it’ girl, wear a blazer and matching trousers in cream or pastel pink. To help break up the colour, choose a plain tee or shirt to wear underneath depending on your office dress code. All eyes will be on you as you strut your stuff out of the office and into the bar.

BLING$
Worried that you won’t be taken seriously wearing a loud colour or print? Pack some funky tortoise shell earrings or dazzling drop earrings to pack a punch on date night. Alternatively show-stopper belts will be your best friend in cinching in your waist to make that hourglass shape and transforming your shirtdress or top-n-trousers combination. Your lucky match won’t be able to take their eyes off you!

FORMAL-AT-THE-FRONT-BUT-BOUJEE-AT-THE BACK
The clock strikes six and you whip your jacket or cardigan off that’s been hiding that shirt that says formal-at-the-front but has a back that says ready to party, is ultimate date gear in disguise. Everywhere from the likes of Topshop to Primark is selling a shirt that’s conservative at the front but either backless or strappy behind. Showing a bit of your back is subtle yet sexy, showing your sophisticated side. But don’t let your date get distracted by too much print. Choose a boujee-at-the-back top in a plain colour to draw in the eye. Wear straight or wide fitting trousers, or, pack a pair of jeans in your tote to be a little more casual.

Whatever you decide to wear, you’ll look gorgeous. Even the smallest changes to your workwear outfits will make you feel great for that date. After your power-woman office day, you deserve that prosecco!
