Hiya hunsssss. Today we're unboxing a new beauty box in my life... and yous know how much I love monthly deliveries of surprise beauty goodies plopping through me letterbox. Like, I properly LOVE a good beauty box - I've discovered some products I literally swear by and use daily via subscription services. Monthly deliveries of new brands & products I otherwise may not have tried / have heard of actually really help me when it comes to attempting to look my best and better enhancing the chronic sh*t show that is otherwise my face and general being.
This month, I've been lucky enough to receive LookFantastic's Botanical Edit* to review & weep over with you guys. And she's a fittie. From the curation of products inside down to the branding & presentation, LookFantastic have nailed it with this edit.
Specially curated with a focus on natural, sustainable products that are free from toxins, May's LF Beauty Box is filled with 6 fab beauty treats, suitable for even the most sensitive of skin types. AND this month’s box is worth over an incredible £142!
Sign up with them to get today from just £13 - AND (I'm putting this here in case you can't wait till the end of this post to order yours) if you use code NIKKIABB at the checkout you'll get 10% off the price of 6 and 12 month subscriptions.
Some fab products from the get-go there aren't there? Everything is so well collated & in-keeping with the theme of the box, and each product is a good size too (even the minis hold a decent amount of product) which allow you to properly try out each item to get an idea of if it's something you'd repurchase in the future.
Let's unpack each item and look at what you're getting as part of this month's edit in more detail.
Before we delve in (and I inevitably get over-excited / carried away) some more fab things about this service isssss that all LookFantastic boxes are now fully recyclable, worth over £50 every month and all come with a fab lil BB booklet inside; talking about the products you'll find in the box and sharing handy beauty hacks.
Get lost in the wilderness and embrace the power of plants.
My May 2020's 'Botanical Edit' from LookFantastic contained:
🌸 Avant Hyaluronic Acid Resurfacing Moisturiser, RRP £100 (wowza!)
🌸 Magnitone London Wipe Out Eco-Friendly Cleansing Cloth, RRP £10
🌸 Dr Lipp Sweet Potato Lip Tint, RRP £3
🌸 Eyeko Mini Brow Gel, RRP £10
🌸 Korres Hydra-Biome Face Mask, RRP £9.40
🌸 Balance Me Hyaluronic Plumping Mist, RRP £10
A fab curation of goodies, amiright? I love the fact that this is a mixture of skincare, makeup and tools - not just focussing on one area. And, of course, the toxin-free & recyclable aspects of this box (and others moving forward, in terms of recyclableness) sit incredibly well with me too. Am all about that recycling life, I'm always the one separating the glass, plastic and card at house parties... even after several shots of sambuca 😂😂
I love Dr Lipp's lip tints and this lil cutie will be ideal for banishing that dreaded dry lip scenario I often face in the warmer weather. Perfect, easy to use summer staple. I'm excited to try more of the skincare bits too - so far I've been spritzing the Balance Me Hyaluronic Mist on my face before doing makeup to plumpen and hydrate it, and it's lovely and cooling in these (slightly) warmer temps too.
Of course, the moment I spotted the Eyeko Brow Gel in the box I opened it up and tried it (I'm constantly at war with my terrible brows) and I can confirm it's fab too. The little brush is the perfect shape to grab and lift your brows; holding them in place to hide sparse areas and give your brows shape during no makeup days. My left brow is a totally different shape than my right, so this tool is invaluable in trying to disguise this (yet another flaw of my face 😂😂.)
I've really enjoyed trying Look Fantastic's beauty boxes for the first time - a really great range of products from some top brands; all really well thought out and beautifully packaged, branded & supported with the literature included. What did you think of this month's box - what item stands out to you the most from this line-up?
Remember, if you wanna sign up and save, use code NIKKIABB at the checkout to get 10% off the price of 6 and 12 month subscriptions.
