I love trying out makeup from companies I haven't shopped with before - Misslyn being one of the brands I'd been perving on for quite a while ... until now. Now the dream is a reality, & my face sports their products on most of the days I bother to put makeup on it.

I first noticed their collection on Beauty Bay and was instantly all heart-eyed like the emoji [this fella 😍] at the sight of their unique, cute branding / packaging. Vintage, cutesy and feminine; their collection is everything my Instagram feed could ever dream of ... boasting the pretty products my dresser couldn't function without.

But moving on from the babein' outers of the Misslyn range ... what are the insides like, I hear you ask? How do the products perform, and are they as cute on ya face as they are nestled in their lil pans? Keep scrollin' hun [and reading, obv - help a gal out with her bounce rate & all tha] cos I'm about to tell ya.

I was very kindly gifted the products within this post via Wizard Publicity; the absolute qweens of the PR world - who you know aren't gonna promote products that are anything other than insanely fabulous

My expectations, therefore, were high from the get-go tbh... and even if the makeup was turd, I knew it would look SO DAMN PRETTY on my dresser that there was nothing to lose 😂😂 BUT OF COURSE the products are anything but that - and here's a lil overview of why.

And before I go full on into professing my love for Misslyn, can we just take a minute to give some serious LOVIN' to their ULTRA affordable price tags... something I wasn't expecting for products that pretty and which legit made me do a lil 😍 face for the second time whilst researching this brand.

Where to begin?! URM. I guess I'll start off with one of my fave lil palettes from this haul; the Misslyn Lip Candy Palette, Red Kiss Edition* which retails for £10.50 and comes in a few different colour variants. Mainly because I wanna shout about this product with immediate effect rly, as it's proper fab. And may or may not also be a contender for the Christmas Gift Guides I'm compiling at the moment.

The packaging is, of course, cute AF; resembling candy canes & slaying the festive vibes I'm channelling at the moment. AND THOSE SHADES. Omg. I've mistakenly become sceptical of lip palettes over the years after being let down by some absolute shockers... but this one has restored my faith in life. Just look at dem swatches

The palette is the perfect mix of warm and cool toned red shades; making it the perfect gift for most makeup-lovin' QUEENS - as well as super versatile

Though small, the pans are packed full of product, DED pigmented and have some pretty impressive staying power... it took a LOT of scrubbing to remove the stains from these lil swatches off me arm, like.

Oh - and they all smell proper bangin' too. Yaaaas Misslyn.

How mermazing is this packaging, pls? I've never really fully indulged in the strobing trend, but I've been dabbing this beautiful pink Misslyn Mermazing Glow Strobing Cream* £7 all over my giant face and collarbones since it arrived in my life.

It feels a little sticky consistency-wise when you first swatch it, but it applies beautifully; with no tacky feeling or residue whatsoever. It leaves the most beautiful pink toned shimmer on your skin - which I am ALL about. I wanna be a mermaid now, if u don't mind hun xo

If you're a fan of Benefit's Hoola... but not so much the price tag [HANDS UP - MEEE!] then this next product is THE dupe you need in ya life. The Misslyn Beach Please! Bronzing and Contour Powder* retails at just £7.50 and comes in 6 fab shades [I have the Vitamin Sea colour variant here.] Saving you almost TWENTY QUID on the RRP of the Benefit product.

Twenty extra quid you can spend on tea to spill.

Keeping the dupe vibes alive, let's whack this Misslyn Stay With Me! Matte Setting Spray*, RRP £8.25, onto the podium next. I love a good setting spray [you can read about some of my other faves here if you like] as, being the oily beast that I am, I do need a decent level of protection to stop my makeup slipping off my face halfway through the day.

It's a pretty good price for a setting spray - comparable with other highstreet pricetags. It mists out super fine and evenly, which is again, ideal... there's nothing worse than them ones that pure spray out like an uncontrollable hosepipe all over ya face; washing half ya hard work straight off. It actually smells very much like the Urban Decay All Nighter product - leading me to believe they must have a similar formula.. just a massively different RRP!

Defo one to check out guys - it seems to be holding its own on my massive face so far; but I'll continue to put it through its paces & report back if I change my mind.

Okay, how cute is this packaging please?! I feel another heart-eyes face coming on huns. This is the Misslyn Treat Me Sweet Powder Blush* RRP £7.50 in the shade Be My Blush Crush! - also available in 6 other colours. Some of the pink shades look rly sweet, so I'm keen to explore them too.

For me, this shade is one I use with bronzer and contouring products; to add a flush of colour to my cheekbones & better define / sculpt my massive face. When I have more of a natural tan, this lovely cool-toned powder will work really well as a blush on me too.

I am proper diggin' the homage to classic Britney 00's pop culture in the name of this Misslyn Eye-Mazing Eyeshadow Set* RRP £7.50. This is the Oops I Did It Again! palette - but there are other colour combos available you can shop till ya drop as well.

It's not that pigmented, but you can work with the formula to build a nice colour pay-off. As you can see from the swatches below, the three shades have a nice holographic, iridescent quality; which I wasn't expecting & quite stan.

This Misslyn Make It Last Forever Matte Fixing Powder* is a product that's definitely on trend right now; at a much lower RRP than a lot of the high-end alternatives you might use [at just £7.50.]

I tend to carry this in my bag to use mainly for touch-ups on the go - it's great for blotting away any rogue fod shine during the day. Versatile, portable and super pretty. And much less likely to shatter in the pan and cause utter hell in a handbag like some of the other pressed powders I used to keep in there did.

LASH but not least [wheyyy, gotta sneak in at least one horrendous pun per post hun] issss this sleek Misslyn XXL Volume Mascara* which retails for £10. Dece

I really like this mascara - it definitely lengthens ya lashes & lifts them well. It has a HUGE wand [that's what she said, hahahaha sorry] which is pretty good... but this does mean you have to be careful using it & rly perfect your method of applying it; or it can end up everywhere!

This being said, once you've mastered it, I do quite like the effect it has on my lower lashes; it separates and defines them well - and if there are any clumps, I tend to then brush them through for a fab result that lasts

I've been really impressed with my first experience with Misslyn - the highlights of this brand for me personally being; the surprisingly rly affordable price tags, their stunning packaging & company branding, the absolute beast-mode activated with their lip products and the cheeky lil dupes they've sneaked into the mix.

I'll definitely be trying more from these guys - and their range is packed full of perfect stocking filler ideas, so no doubt plenty of my friends & family will be doing this Christmas, too!
