It's no secret that I have an unhealthy obsession with subscription boxes. I just love unwrapping surprise boxes of beauty goodies - it's like a mini Christmas each month; as well as an opportunity to try new brands and products. So when I won Which Beauty Box UK's giveaway for a Roccabox, my entire life was pretty much made - as I'd never tried Roccabox before but had invested several hours of my time perving on them.

Roccabox Sassy In The City May 2017 Review

Roccabox is a pretty cool concept - they collaborate each month with a beauty blogger; who curates the products for the month. This wasn't something I knew about them or had heard of before - but I adore this concept. This month's edit was curated by Lauren Maher who blogs at Sassy In The City - hence the name of the box! I guess now I know this fact, I can see why I love the packaging of Roccabox so much - rose gold, pink and marble are so blogger - but this box is curated by one!

Here's what was in May's edit.

Glo & Ray Longwear Precision Eyeliner, £6.90, Full Size

I've always wanted to try Glo & Ray [and - spoiler alert - I'll be working with them this month too, which I'm actually too excited about] and this eyeliner doesn't disappoint. At all.

Roccabox Sassy In The City May 2017 Review

I love its sleek packaging and chic branding; plus how light and intuitive it is to hold. It's super easy to apply with a mega fine nib and totes smudgeproof - so no matter how many jagerbombs you guzzle or how ferociously you dance to Gangnam Style; it ain't going anywhere.

Mandara Spa Amber Heaven Softening Body Cream, £6.50, Sample Size

Even though this product is marked as being sample size, it's still pretty decent in terms of the amount of product you get. Ordinarily, I'd be a little disappointed to find a tub of moisturiser in a beauty box; but this smells SO NICE that it totally eradicates that feeling. It's gorge.

IZ Beauty Blooming Beautiful Collection Nail Polish, £6 Full Size [one of two colours]

The packaging, branding and shade of this nail polish are pretty much every goal I've ever had. It's ridiculously on-point for Spring and possibly the most Instagrammable nail polish I've ever had the pleasure of owning. It applies really well too - even with just one coat, its colour totally holds its own; which is unusual with pastel shades.

MONU Hydrating Mask, £29.95, Full Size

I LOVE Monu Skincare products [I'm actually working with them at the moment and LOVING the results of the products I'm testing] - so I was legit made up to see this mask in my Roccabox. If this is anywhere near as good as the skincare I've been testing from them, it'll be legit incredible. I adore Monu's packaging and simplistic branding, too.

Wilkinson Sword Intuition Razor, £8.99, Full Size

This bad boy has a pure block of solid moisturiser around the blades [like, it's actually massive!] so once mixed with water, it leaves your skin so, so soft and lightly fragranced. Razor burn and irritation is no more - plus it's baby pink and totes matches my aesthetic so need I say more?

Roccabox Sassy In The City May 2017 Review

I have totes enjoyed my first ever Roccabox experience and can't thank Jaina enough for picking me as her lucky winner :} This is a box I would definitely subscribe to personally, as it was just such a joy to unwrap and has a really cool ethos; what with them enlisting bloggers to help each month.

Have you ever tried Roccabox? Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes?
