Touch in Sol are a K Beauty brand who quickly swooped in and stole / touched my heart towards the end of last year. They touched my heart and they can also touch my bum too, if they wanted to. The invite's there okay guys, even though you might shudder and recoil in horror at the sight of my derriere department. But that's how much I proper love ya.
I've tried [and purchased] soooo many products from this brand since they first sashayed into my life - every single one of these has been a total hit and not at all sh*t either; which is a] bloody fantastic and b] bloody unusual, as with most brands I've tried in my life so far [which is a lot cos yeno, fossilised old hag over 'ere] there's usually a mix of hit & miss products in their repertoire.
I need to tell you more, get over-dramatic, swear and weep to you guys simultaneously about how effing much you need to know about the Metallist range right now. Cos I can't cope.
Just look at them. Are they not just the most beautiful baes you've ever seen? Touch in Sol's range of Metallist Shadow Liquid Foil & Glitter Duos are just insane. The pigment in these bad boys will just blow you away - at one end, they're the perfect metallic foil eyeshadow cream you've been dreaming of [in five different blindin' shades] and at the other - you have a friggin' foil glitter pot that honestly leaves me a little flustered / hot under the collar. [The proverbial collar obv, lol... as if I wear clothes with collars. Or clothes. I just live in my dressing gown, duvet and poverty.]
Despite her name sounding a little like a bad ass granny you'd bump into at bingo, Margaret is LIT. She's the first Metallist Duo I ever tried; and she's a warm, copper colour with a BEAUTIFUL complementary glitter. Eldora is more of a cool toned gold and Talia [oh my DAYS T-dawg, where do we even begin with you, gurl?!] is a sh*tting STUNNING pearly shimmer which looks too good worn in ya tearduct to brighten your eyes... or as a highlighter to BLIND.
Adelio is a firey, warm metallic for a dramatic, eye-popping look and our gal Lottie adds a slice of cool tone into this Metallist family of dreams with her lilac-grey-blue aesthetic. They're soooo easy to use, dead pigmented and blend like a dream - and once they're in place, they ain't shifting for sh*t. The glitter is just incredible - I'm like a massive magpie [but less monochrome] as I have a weakness for all things sparkly - and these foils deliver!
Each shadow can be worn as a metallic foil alone, with the glitter applied on top or blended with other products to craft that perfect shimmery smokey eye. They work well alongside powder products [I was unsure if the two would cooperate initially, due to bad experiences with other liquid products in the past] and I've been able to create basic day time looks where I've simply popped a little bit of Talia into my tearducts to brighten and highlight my inner eye area.... and it's looked flawless.
And this is on me.. like, I'm by no means bad at makeup, but I'm not exactly a pro MUA and I defo don't have it as my middle name on Facebook [you know what I mean... just like the gals that put things like 'Full time princess xox' and 'ProudMummy' in the mix too.] So if I can create professional looking, lit AF styles on my beady lil chicken eyes - from home - then you guys definitely can too.
You can pick up Touch in Sol products at Cult Beauty, at Feel Unique [which is a dead exciting new brand acquistion for them] and at ASOS... with some other potential stockists on the cards too [eeeek!] The Metallist collection, HD Lip Lacquers, Stretchex Mascara and Non-Stop Liquid Eyeliner are some of my personal faves, if you're looking to try the brand for the first time.
