With their vast range, affordable dupes and mini price tags; I was like a moth to the flame [or a fly to the dog sh*te] when Makeup Revolution announced their newest brand: Revolution Pro.
Although one of my last purchases from these guys [that proper crappy yet overhyped concealer] displeased me in a big way, I'd never let one let-down Larry release taint my love for a brand I have supported for years. And I'm so glad I didn't, because one of the products within the flatlay below has become my ultimate all time fav and go-to guy - and once I've been paid, I'm gonna order more to stock up because I literally could not face adult life without it. It's time for some serious declarations of love for Revolution Pro, written up in this very-quickly-bashed-together-post because my need to share my discoveries with you guys was too intense to wait. R u ready?
Okay, just wow. Look how beautiful these bits are. The top, smaller palette is Revolution Pro Supreme Eyeshadow Palette in Intoxicate which retails for £6. It's buttery, creamy and ded pigmented; boasting some stunning warm tones in a perf textured design.
The larger, Huda-esque palette in the middle of the flatlay is the Revolution Pro Regeneration Palette in Revelation which costs just £8 for 21 shades and is now my bae. Honestly, it's fantastic quality and proper pigmented.
And finally, we have my must have. My staple face base - Revolution Pro's Foundation Drops [£7 per bottle] sneaks in in the bottom right-hand corner of my flatlay and steals the show and my heart. If there's one thing you've gotta try from Rev Pro - one stand out product out of everything I've ever tried from any of Adam Minto's brands - it's these drops. In my eyes, it's hands down the best foundation product I've tried [even beating my Vichy Dermablend; which was my literal everything before I found this product. The first bottle of this I ordered [as pictured] is in the shade F6 - which is my normal shade if I haven't gone rogue with the fake tan during the week. And F8 if I have.
The Foundation Drops come in 18 shades [which is pretty good in terms of inclusivity] - odd numbers [e.g. F1, F9] are for those with neutral / pink undertones and the even numbers best suit those with yellow undertones [like me - I have F6 and F8; for example.] So defo bear that in mind when you're making your order.
They're more of a mid-coverage foundation when applied [I use my Beauty Blender with a little setting spray spritzed onto it for staying power, usually the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day one in Rose] but very, very buildable - leaving you with a lightweight, natural yet beautifully even base. Honestly, the first time I applied these drops I was very nearly wowed enough to use the word shook. And this level of amazement has continued daily, for at least the past 3 weeks since then; too.
F8 on the left, F6 on the right
F6 is my most used of the two foundations; it's my go to to quickly blend into my face if I'm popping out to the shop to replenish my chocolate stash, and the only foundation I've reached for since I discovered it. F8 is the one I pull out when I've actually bothered to fake tan, and my skin is naturally darker. Noone wants an orange body and a gleaming white face - girl gotta match dat shiz.
Both shades apply equally well, last all day and work really well with other products applied on top of them - there's no mad patches, streaks or clingy bits. This foundation - with my BAE Shape Tape applied over the top for concealing / highlighting purposes, makes my morning. With these two products, a little setting powder and a handful of brushes; ACTUAL miracles are performed at my dressing table of a morning.
