I love St. Moriz... I've holidayed there overnight SEVERAL times throughout the past 9 years now - they're my OG fake tanning brand & one I've been able to rely on for almost a decade when it comes to achieving a deep, even & streak-free glow. AND THOSE LOW LOW PRICES 😍 Literally running into Home Bargains after work to pick up a bottle for about £3.50 in time for last-minute nights out was the one.

I was lucky enough to be sent a few of the brand's latest releases recently - which I'll talk about in this post. St. Moriz have really upped their game over several years; releasing loads of new products, variants of their infamous mousse tan and other skincare / sun related innovations to keep them at the forefront of the tanning arena. All still very reasonably priced

Here's a couple of their newest products - St. Moriz Professional Medium - Dark Clear Tanning Mousse* andddd the St. Moriz Advanced Pro Gradual Tan & Protect Cream*; available in regular & travel-size. You can pick St. Moriz up from loads of retailers - Boots, Superdrug, Feel Unique & Tesco being some of the most well-known names to line their shelves with this glorious tanning Godsend.

First up, let's talk about the Medium - Dark Clear Tanning Mousse. If you've read any of my rambles about fake tan before, you'll know that my favourite formula [and the one I believe is by far the easiest to apply, especially for newbies to the tanning arena] is mousse / foam - the original St. Moriz I fell in love with all those years ago was also a mousse based product.

This mousse however is different from the majority of others I've tried [especially from St. Moriz as a brand - I tried a similar concept from NYK1 once before, though] in that it's totally clear. Benefits of this being that there's no risk of staining to your clothes or bedding, no colour transfer, you can go about your day as normal once applied and there's just a lot less mess. But the obvious downside being that it's hard to judge where you've applied the tan when there's no stain - risking missed spots and stripes.

For this reason, I'd recommend really concentrating whilst applying this tan, going over your base again lightly in case you've missed any spots, and perhaps only trying this product once you've tried others from the collection; so you can gauge how the brand's formulas apply, absorb & develop.

How did I get on with it? Really well, actually, despite worrying I'd miss a spot. The mousse applies really nicely to the skin; drying fairly quickly and not transferring to / staining your bedding. Which I'm normally terrible for. With it not having a stain or a tint to it, it is harder to use and you do feel like it takes longer to develop than usual - but in reality, the mousse deepens gradually and subtly into a really even, natural looking tan; which I'm really happy with. I missed a small spot on my right foot, but this was a lot my fault as by the time I'd got down to tanning my feet, I wasn't concentrating the same! 😂 Here's a couple of totally unedited, unfiltered pics of me in the bath after just washing the remnants of the tan off after a day.

The second product - which is available in a full-sized and travel size option [the Gradual Tan & Protect Cream with SPF30] is - thanks to this terrible weather and my lack of vacay this year, one I've not massively been able to test, but which a fantastic idea and something I'll totally take on holiday with me as soon as I book one.

A lot of people I know actually take fake tan on holiday with them - sunbathing during the day and then slathering on the fake tan of an evening to maximise their bronzing. This product rolls these two concepts into one - it contains SPF 30 to keep your skin protected whilst sunbathing throughout the day, but also, a gradual tanning product to bronze you as you bathe. It basically helps protect your skin from the sun's rays without compromising your tanning opportunities - and the two available sizes make it the perfect travel companion. It looks and applies just like a suncream.

Once again, St. Moriz have delivered. Their products are consistent, good quality, effective, accessible and super-affordable - all things which get my vote. Good work, team tanning!

Have you tried any St. Moriz products before? What's your favourite fake tan?
