If there's one thing I hoard in an even bigger way than I do with biscuits / snacks under the bed [which is a HUGE problem] it's makeup brushes. Namely, eye makeup brushes - they're my biggest downfall. This impulsive hobby and Grade A hoarding skill means that it's safe to say that I recognise a decent fluffy blending brush when I see it - and that a good undereye detailing brush can reduce me to floods of pure emotion and passion...
...which is why I'm so excited to share these fantastic quality Ciara Daly Makeup Brushes with you guys. Well, share the news about them, I'm not sharing the actual products sorry; they're very much all mine - I love them and you'll have to get your own. Haha.
I hadn't heard of Ciara Daly until very recently; and I really, really wish I had earlier. The quality of her brushes is insanely professional; comparable to [and in some ways, better] than the expensive AF Morphe kit I splashed out on once, when I liked to pretend I was rich with my new credit card. The length, shape, weight and design of these brushes makes them so easy to use; with precise and professionally tapered bristles that can be used to build up beyond Instagrammable smokey eyes - and wings firmly on fleek.
I was lucky enough to be sent two packs of these streamlined beauties to try; which have replaced many of my Morphe, Crownbrush, Spectrum and Zoeva go-to's due to their effectiveness and, let's face it - their chic, minimal FITNESS. The Ciara Daly Phoenix Collection* [for eyes] and the newly released Ciara Daly Sphinx Collection* [for my other obsession, winged eyeliner] are legit gamechangers - just feast your eyes on them for a moment and you'll understand why.
I was also sent a Ciara Daly pop-out phone holder [no idea what the official term is!] that sticks onto the back of your phone, so you can hold it securely when filming, snapchatting, taking selfies or watching TV [I use it as a little stand too] - but it has changed my LIFE and if you've noticed I've started doing Instagram Lives a bit more recently when I've been doing my makeup.. it's all down to this little babe.

Ciara Daly Phoenix Collection, RRP £32
Set of four Makeup Brushes :
- Base blending brush
- Shadow accent brush
- Socket blending brush
- Under eye detailer brush
If you're unsure of the tools you'll need to create a killer smokey eye; blended to flawless perfection, look no further than this quartet of Phoenix brushes. Each brush plays a key role within crafting the perfect smouldering peepers - and they're extremely versatile, soft bristles; so if you wanna break the rules and use them for different purposes, that's okay too.
The Ciara Daly Base Blending Brush is a total doll. I use it to quickly apply a neutral, priming base of the colour and to softly blend out harsh lines [which is pretty much my whole eye area until I deploy this bad boy to bail me out.]
The smaller, white Shadow Accent Brush included in this collection is a beaut little multi-tasker - I use this for pretty much everything application wise; and to help smoke out darker tones.
The tapered, precise head of the Socket Blending Brush gets right into that crease; making your eyes totes pop!
And the Undereye Detailer Brush is bae; perfectly angled to disperse product under the lower lash line - perfect to use with my fave Glittereyes glitter and some of the shimmery, lighter powders I like to place on my tearduct area, to make me look more alive and less fossillised.
Ciara Daly Sphinx Collection [New In!] RRP £16
Set of two Makeup Brushes :
- Angled eyeliner brush
- Narrow eyeliner brush
The Ciara Daly Angled Brush in this set is perfect for wingin' it! It's a professionally tapered, fine, soft [yet firm] angled eyeliner brush to pop in my cream eyeliner pot and line my lids with fierce, feline precision. And I won't lie, I'm also tempted to try this with brow pomade - it's super versatile with that precise angle I quite often struggle to achieve with my HD Beauty angled brow brush.

Also included within the Sphinx Collection by Ciara Daly is this Soft, Narrow Brush - for smudgey, soft eyeliner. I love using this brush with black, kohl eyeliner pencils - first, lining my upper lash line and lower lash line, then blending and softening the harsh lines with the bristles. Leaves a sultry, smokey smouldering look - which is super glamorous and makes a change from me and my constant attitude of winging eyeliner, life, bills and deadlines.
I'm super impressed with these makeup brushes. They've become a staple set of tools in my life, brushes I always reach to and trust to give me consistently flawless results on my eyes. Now, I just need to work on the rest of my face!!
