I've become pretty invested in perving on eyeshadow palettes of late. I'd say I spend approximately 33-47% of my daily life sneaking peeks at them on Instagram [Colourpop has my heart in a way I can't describe without weeping a little] whilst avoiding picking up angry calls from the bank re: my horrific overdraft lyf.

The only thing that makes me weep more than these palettes' insane levels of beauty and perfection however, is the price & accessibility of them. Holy mother of hell. As a bargain hunter through and through [think David Dickinson but minus the tragic Bargain Hunt fleece & slightly less terracotta - and that's me] I simply can't justify splashing out my entire life's savings on makeup... no matter how nice it would be to do so.

But that's okay yeno - cos if you know where to look, you can find products boasting equally fantastic quality; but with much smaller price tags. And that's maths that I actually like. Here's a perfect example of a palette I'm loving this month which fits this criteria perfectly... costing just £2.99 [!!!!!!!! Usually retails at £4.50, but I seem to have stumbled upon an offer] at Fragrance Direct, this Technic Colour Icon Eyeshadow Palette* is an actual must have - and a sh*tting fantastic Stocking Stuffer shout.

At just £2.99 - or even at £4.50 [or just £3.99 on eBay with free delivery] - I can't cope with the insane levels of value for money. I feel like one of them Ma's on the Asda adverts from back in the day; when they were pure buzzin' over the money they saved on cheese and sandwich meat & tapped their bum pocket on their jeans to rattle dem spare coinz & show how much better off financially they were. JUST LIKE THAT.

The shades in Technic's Colour Icon Palette are fleeky AF - bang on trend for AW17... and there's 14 of them! All for dem low, low prices. Fourteen legitimate super buttery, creamy, pure pigmented eyeshadows to play around with & weep hysterically over... for less than a fiver. Regardless of where you order it from.

Each shade has a pretty, glittery, shimmery finish with sooooo much colour pay-off it's unreal - I think my neighbours must have thought I was having some mad kinda sex rampage with the amount of excitement and yelling I was letting out whilst swatching them. But I also don't care because they are the worst members of modern society.

The palette has handy 'Base' and 'Definition' pans in the centre, with brighter, bolder and more metallic shades either side; clustered together to form two distinct looks. The left-hand side of this pure prinny palette is bright, pastel triumph and the right is a metallic, copper treasure trove of eroticness.

JUST LOOK AT THEM SWATCHES! I'm particularly impressed with the metallic shades - they're beautiful; but some of the silver and more neutral tones were tonnes more pigmented than I imagined they'd be - and will be perfect to highlight my brow bone and tear duct / inner eye with.

But I mean, for that price .... I literally cannot fault this palette in any way. It's fast worked its way up the league table to become one of my favourite Technic palettes that I've tried to date - and that's saying something... as I've tried A LOT as this brand's biggest obsesso!!

Have you tried anything from Technic before? Would you wear the shades in this Colour Icon Palette?
