Thanks to my very hot friend LP, Touch in Sol are a brand that I've seen on / have dominated my Insta feed for pure time! I can always trust Leanne's recommendations for beauty products as she's pretty much a Goddess - and I'd try pretty much anything that might make my rancid mug look more like her face. Anyway. Before I go on some mad, slightly homoerotic rampage about how much I fancy her, let's crack on with HOW MUCH I NOW ALSO FANCY THIS BRAND!
I was lucky enough to win a competition hosted on the lovely BDQ Blog's Instagram and got me hands on a bottle of Touch in Sol's I'm Very Useful Makeup Boomer Primer - but my luck was in even more when MMCL [the amazing luxury beauty distribution company who were collaborating with Dorota on her giveaways] threw in a couple of the brand's other bestsellers for me to try, too. Products which, not to be overly dramatic, are total gamechangers.
Touch in Sol are a K Beauty brand - brought to us from South Korea. They're stocked on Cult Beauty, ASOS & even Urban Outfitters - and each of their products are as unique, innovative and practical as they are beautiful [ie VERY! Dat packaging!] With their fun, memorable names, cutting-edge formulas and high performance beauty solutions Touch in Sol are one of those brands I've had my eye on for SO LONG - but have they lived up to my expectations with these products?
From the get-go, the bottle claims to be very useful - and it ain't lying! This fab Boomer leaves your skin RADIANT - and with a fresh, shimmery finish unlike any other priming base product I've tried. Ever. It smells fresh and applies nicely - it's like, the dream product to take on holiday with you, as it leaves you with glowing, healthy looking skin without masking ya new tan.
This primer's formula boasts light-reflecting, photo-sensitive particles that even out & brighten ya complexion, leaving you with a ‘your skin but better’ kinda situation. Pearlescent is a great way to describe it. You can wear it as a primer under ya makeup to give you dat glow up or as a highlighter on ya cheekbones on top of your usual products. I'd personally also wear this on my collarbone & décolletage area as a pretty shimmer for nights out or evening meals / cocktails. Totally one to try.
Touch in Sol Metallist Shadow Liquid Foil & Glitter Duo in the shade Margaret
Despite her old lady name, Margaret is LIT AF. This eyeshadow duo is one of the most pigmented, sparkly yet easy to use products I've come across recently. Its liquid formula is gentle on the skin and the two products work fantastically well together; with very little fallout - but maximum levels of glitter. They don't irritate ya eyes, like some glitters quite often subject me to, and the warm copper colour is just stunning!
I'm high key in love with this product. Its dual-ended doe foot applicator situation makes for incredibly easy application and the metallic, colour pay-off is instantaneous. It takes away all the fussing when it comes to nailing on-point eye makeup looks by having all the product you need in one handy tube.
This is my new favourite mascara. I think that statement in itself kinda works as a review, but I'll go on. I wasn't quite sure how this product would work on my lashes initially; as they're long yet sparse AF due to the after effects of the great eyelash curler massacre of 2004 [RIP] which they never fully came back from. But the difference it makes - even after just brushing on the smallest bit, is immense.
The specially shaped brush head grabs the lashes and distributes product evenly throughout them; with no clumps or proper heavy feeling formula... leaving them noticeably longer. Like, honestly - look at my before and afters. It's lightweight, buildable and doesn't weigh you down - plus it's totes enriched with silk proteins; that protect & promote happy, healthy eyelashes. Yaaaaas. Just imagine how amazing this product would look on someone with better conditioned lashes than mine, if it can even get the ultimate sh*t show which are my lashes to stand to attention like that?!
I haven't been disappointed with my first experience with this brand - in fact, it exceeded all the already high expectations I had for it, thanks to my gal LP singing its praises. Touch in Sol has touched my heart and made a huge impression on my makeup collection & daily routine. The only downside to this discovery is that now I need it ALL! Soz not soz Natwest.
Have you tried anything from Touch in Sol before? What's your favourite pick from the three products I've featured above?
