I do not like Autumn / Winter... but I DO love Halloween parties & the excuse to dress up. As a born party planner, I couldn’t not write a post about how to host the ultimate Halloween night in! With the occasion creeping up on us, it’s time to get your ducks in a row and grab everything you need to throw a great bash, no matter whether it's for you and your partner or a handful of your girlfriends.

Think about a typical night in – you’ve got your snacks, drinks, movies and cosy onesies all ready to go. But where a Halloween night in is concerned, you can go a little bit wilder than what you’d usually plan.

How To Have The ULTIMATE Halloween Night In

Let’s talk décor

If you’re going to throw the ultimate Halloween night in, the way you decorate has to be one of the biggest aspects. Afterall, you have to set the scene right? Stores like B&M have so many cheap and cheerful decorations that you can use to create the perfect atmosphere for when your friends arrive. If you have sideboards in your dining or living room, why not decorate these with cute (scary) skull or pumpkin garlands? And on your coffee table or littered around the house, light the way with miniature LED light up pumpkins!

What about food?

You can’t have a good night in without putting on a spread. Whether you’re a dab hand in the kitchen and fancy creating some dishes yourself, or you’d rather buy in some pre-made snacks from your local supermarket, make sure you stock up on plenty of food to keep everyone going throughout the evening.

Don’t forget about entertainment

There’s nothing worse than going to someone’s house for a night in and being bored because they haven’t planned any activities or picked out any movies to watch. If you have a subscription service like Netflix, plan out all the scary movies you’ll be watching as the night draws in; and for something a little bit different, you could even buy everyone a pumpkin and have a carving competition, or even take part in a good old fashioned game of apple bobbing!

Whether they come dressed to impress in their best scary outfit and makeup, or make the night strictly pyjamas and onesies, with all these fun things planned and your movies already chosen, your guests will be sure to have the most Spooktacular night in!
