You may remember around Christmas that the lovely team at Threads sent me some of their gorgeous lashes to try out. I really liked them - their shape, the flexible band, the packaging and the glue which comes with them [which really surprised me with how good it was.] Well, they've only gone and spoilt me with a few more pairs; haven't they?!
This is one of the reasons why I love blogging so much [almost as much as I love false eyelashes...which is a hell of a lot] - blogging has been the main catalyst in helping me find & try out a variety of fab new brands over the past couple of years; Threads very much being one of these. I would probably have never tried them, had it not been for my addictive new hobby. And I'm learning lots, enjoying myself and being complimented by strangers in the process. Great Success.
Anyway. Keep reading to clap your eyes on some FIT falsies, perfect for fluttering this Valentine's. At your partner, the office fitty or maybe at that pure hottie you fancy the living sh*t out of and bump into on the train every morning; Costa in hand. Or maybe just at yourself, in the mirror. No judgement here. Just well dressed eyelids.
Aren't they beautiful? Even their packaging is ideal for Valentine's Day - to wear or receive as a gift [feel free to leave this blog post 'accidentally' open on your partner's laptop as a hint!] Threads sent me a pair of their Be-Bop, Vava Voom and Celestial Lashes - styles which I've tried previously and loved. So I'm buzzing that I'm back stocked up with these favs for festive, flirty lash fluttering in time for Valentine's.
Threads' sets of lashes all come with a little tube of glue inside the pack and have super flexible strip bands. Their glue is actually really, really good - not like when you pick up falsies elsewhere and the adhesive can be very hit and miss. As some of their styles of lashes are a little heavier than others, it does take adhesive, accuracy and a little patience at first when applying them; but the results are well worth it.
Top tip - you can trim the lashes down at the band to make them better fit your eye shape / to make them give you the effect you want. The strip is very resilient! Some styles of lashes I find are slightly too big for my tiny chicken eyes, so I often customise them to get them looking their best.
Another top tip - I've been applying false lashes daily for the past 5/6 years or something, so I'm pretty used to the whole experience now. But if you're a newbie to the lash life, Threads lashes do come with full instructions. I'd also suggest using some precision tweezers to help you place them in optimum position and to ensure that you let the glue on the lashes go tacky by leaving them for about 30 seconds before applying.

Rock these sexy falsies with a smokey eye; for maximum impact. There's some beaut pink, smokey eye tutorials doing the rounds on Insta and YouTube at the moment; which are perfect for VDay. Single, taken or complicated as f*ck [like my situation] your eyes are going to look amazing in these lashes; channel those romantic [though corporate] Valentine's vibes through your makeup.
Style 2 - Celestial

I love the beautiful graduation in fullness and shape of these lashes. They ooze sexy cat eye vibes and blend really nicely with your own lashes. I haven't seen many lashes quite like them before, in all honesty. Definitely a pair of falsies to spice up date night!
Style for Valentine's
I'd personally let these lashes do the talking for me, in terms of makeup on Vday. They're so dramatic and sultry; I wouldn't want my makeup to detract from that. Instead of crafting some kind of smokey eye to wear with them, I'd style these with a sharp flick of winged eyeliner to accentuate their sexy shape and a bold red lip. Meow.
Style 3 - Vava Voom

Style
Thick, spiky, sexy lashes for an intensely flirty flutter. I think these are my favourite Threads' falsies from the selection they gifted me - I love a big set of lashes and these are the perfect mix of length, texture and thickness.
Style for Valentine's
Channel those Vava Voom vibes and amp up the sexiness stakes with these lashes. They're ideal for a night out, a hot date or drinks with the girls. I'm thinking big, bouncy hair; highlighter on FLEEK and a smouldering smokey eye with tonnes of smudged kohl and glitter - make those eyes pop!
