You know when a new beauty product comes out [or you see some pure babein' MUA create a beautiful makeup look on Instagram with an amazing piece of kit] and you therefore rush out to get your hands on it, before anyone else does?

I'm not that girl.
I can't afford to be that girl.

However, this Heavy Metal 'Distortion' glitter eyeliner from Urban Decay destroyed my self control [and my credit limit] from the moment I clapped eyes on it. Granted, I haven't eaten properly for a couple of days as a result of this impulse buy - but who wants to be sensible, when you can be sparkly? Amiright?

I saw someone on Insta use this eyeliner on a cut crease, and it looked unreal. Since discovering GlitterEyes, I've fallen for all things sparkly pretty hard; so am always looking for new, cute ways to work glitter into my makeup. This liner just ticked so many boxes for me. It was all I thought about for at least 2 weeks straight. Like with those Kermit memes, my sensible head reasoned that I didn't really need a glitter eyeliner in my life; but inner me said 'BUY IT.'

This was the first time I've ever seen something on Instagram and thought 'I must have it RIGHT NOW!' - I'm normally much more controlled with my 'the blogger made me buy it' moments. This concerns me greatly - as although this purchase may have been my first impulse buy in a long time, I doubt very much that it will be my last.

Retailing at £14 [plus Urban Decay have free shipping atm, if you order directly through them] I don't think this stuff is too badly priced. I mean yes, I couldn't afford it, probably didn't really neeeeeed to buy it and am now paying the price for my recklessness - but for something high end, this price point didn't offend me too much.

I do really love it tho, yeno. It applies dead nicely, dries pretty much straight away and has a teensy little brush head applicator, for accuracy. You can also go over it a few times, to build up colour. And as it's a gel, no flaky bits will end up in your eye, all over the carpet or down your cheeks; in a mad fall-out disaster

I can't wait to use this on the inners of my eyes [and perhaps in a cut crease, if I get brave!] next time I head out with the girls. It's so sparkly, yet the glitter is super fine - not like the tacky glitter eyeliners I used to have as an angst-ridden teenager, that had pure stars and sequins in. LOL.

Have you tried any of Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners? Your monthly budget might not be too happy with you, but your eyes will be - I can vouch for that!
