As an avid coffee drinker and - when I have the opportunity to actually leave the house & socialise with actual humans, red wine enthusiast; teeth discolouration and staining is a big concern in ma life.
With that BLINDIN' white American, perfectly veneered kinda smile being such hot property RN, it's pretty easy for poorer people [like me - I'm a full on peasant] to feel a bit inferior about our gnashers - I'll hold my hands up and tell yous right now that I can't afford regular professional salon whitening trips or to veneer my whole mouth up. But Smile Lab are a brand I've been using at home, since way-back-when last year, whose products are actually dead effective in whitening ya teeth [I actually featured their Whitening Strips* in my 2017 Favourites Post, cuz they're that good.] And their stand-out product for me - said Whitening Strips - are what I'm here to once again profess my love for today.
What I love most about these strips, is that their results are instant. And they're so easy and fuss free to use. As my teeth are naturally pretty white, I don't use these strips every single day... the Smile Lab Whitening Toothpaste I have takes care of the daily whitening admin. But if I'm going out somewhere or planning on taking a fair few selfies, I usually pop one on as I'm getting ready and then brush my teeth straight after; for proper blindin' results.
There's a lot of gimmicky teeth whitening products / strips on the market... many of which I've bought myself in the past, with disappointing results. Even the Crest ones that everyone raves about from America weren't really worth the hype, in my opinion, as they did sweet FA for my smile [I used to order them in, because I was that extra / a knobhead.]
The worst part about this whole 'whitening' market, cashing in on our nation's insecurities, is that their products all come at a price... and the majority of said gimmicks don't actually do anything. At all. I even watched a documentary on the whole debacle if I'm honest; cos my life is that of a dried up old woman who likes to educate herself on things she can moan about online. Which is why when ya spending ya money on this stuff, you want to be sure it actually works.
I'm super happy to confirm that Smile Lab are NOT part of the gimmick gang; their products definitely work [pretty much instantaneously, tbh!] and you ain't getting ripped off when shopping with them. Plus, instead of looking all medicinal and boring; their branding is clean, modern, minimalist and PINK - which is a really welcome change in the toothpaste game.
Their strips are easy to use and easy to remove too, which is a definite bonus as my teeth can be a little sensitive sometimes and a few other brands' whitening strips make me feel like they're going to pull my actual teeth out. Simply pop em on for like, half an hour [or less - I've seen results in like ten minutes] and bam - once removed & ya teeth have had a lil brush, ya pearly whites are fully restored & ready to gleam at that hottie across the dancefloor.
The lovely baes at Smile Lab HQ sent me this replen box of strips to add to my collection... which was fantastic timing actually, as my original stash was running dangerously low.
They also popped in these DenTek Triple Clean Floss Picks* in my parcel as a lil treat, to ensure that my teeth are healthy & clean; as well as gleaming white. I find these picks much easier to use than floss - especially if you're in a rush - and they act as a definite reminder to floss regularly. So I'm totes grateful, and even though I've swerved the denny for a few months whilst I've been recovering from surgery, I'm hopeful that my teeth are still in good condition; with all these dental treats!
