I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ABOUT TO ROLL INTO OCTOBER. Where the actual hell has 2019 gone?! Was there even a Summer; apart from that week where it was ded hot & everyone kicked off? I have many questions and very few answers... story of my life tho, tbh.
It's this theme of I swear I blinked and half the year disappeared that leads me on to today's post - my review of the August 2019 'Sunkissed' Little-Known Box*. I swore this only arrived the other day... only I received my September edit this week and realised that no, it wasn't yesterday. It was a month ago. And this post has been chillin' like a villain in my drafts ever since.
AM A BADMAN.
So let's attempt to rectify this situation with today's post. An unboxing of Little-Known Box's gorgeous Sunkissed August 2019 curation, with 300,000 photos and lots of declarations of undying love. Standard.
August's LKB brought us 6 fab goodies [including some new brands to the Little-Known Box fam] picked with late Summer looks, hydrated glowing skin & a Sunkissed glow in mind.
The Phase Zero Liquid Lipstick included is a brand-new launch for the brand - with this month also boasting another makeup product from Manna Kadar Cosmetics. Both these huns add a sunkissed pop of colour to your complexion and are cute AF. Seacret Spa - a brand I vibe with due to their oceanic vibes & gorgeous fragranced products, were also included in the line-up; with a gorge body moisturiser and a bonus item in the form of their Mineral Soap.
Last up are the two new faces to LKB - both natural, ethical skincare brands that I'm super happy to introduce into me life. Flawless are a UK based vegan & cruelty-free cosmetics company [who also sell items such as makeup brushes] andddd Living Pure Natural are another luxury natural skincare brand; who use science & skincare to create beaut effective products. Let's delve in now, shall we?
Phase Zero Liquid Lipstick, Full Size, RRP £12
www.phasezeromakeup.com/store
Eek, I do love me a new lippy. Especially when the shade is so ME. #ThatSoMee [hahaha if you get that reference I salute you. Wot a legend.] This new release from Phase Zero [who I'm really liking yeno - they were a new brand into my life introduced by LKB and have wowed me consistently with every product] is richly pigmented, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly too. 10/10 would bang.
Consistency-wise, this absolute worldie applies as a liquid before drying down to a lux matte finish [which I've tried to capture in me pics, but likely haven't done it justice.] I love this shade, it's one I'll definitely wear. So already I'm buzzing with life, and we haven't even touched on the other items yet, hahaha.
Flawless Professional Vegan Beauty Facial Cleanser, Travel Size, RRP £5.95
www.myflawless.co.uk
I love the minimal glass packaging of this cleanser - plus I'm digging its consistency; as I find powder cleansers & exfoliators work really nicely on my skin. And anything with clay is bae, as my face is like an oil slick from hell and needs refining a lot.
This lovely natural stuff works to balance & rejuvenate skin. Which sounds bloody good to me, hun. The Kaolin Clay gently exfoliates & draws out impurities [ie 99% of me face] and the antioxidant rich oats in the mix sooth & hydrate. SLAY.
Seacret Spa Body Lotion, Travel Size, RRP £34.99 per 200ml
www.seacretspa.com
I love the scent of this stuff, it's so relaxing. One of Seacret's best-sellers, this luxurious body lotion softens & hydrates; with its formula benefitting from ingredients sourced from the depths of the Dead Sea. It's non-greasy, quick to absorb and perfectly portable - the ideal travel companion if you're heading off for some late Summer sun [and if you are, PLS TAKE ME WITH YOU.]
Living Pure Natural Face Oil, Full Size, RRP £19.00
www.livingpurenatural.com
I've seen so many people loving this online - I'm excited to finally crack mine open & smother my face in it. Cruelty-free & vegetarian, this oil works to hydrate and cleanse [what a multi-talented babe] working to diminish imperfections, protect the skin and infuse ya face with goodness.
It's made of 100% naturally derived ingredients [the ideal choice of facial oil for #OrganicSeptember tbh] with a high concentration of potent plants & herbal oils that're renowned for smashing the skincare game. It's easily absorbed, silicone-free and boasts a dry oil texture; a gamechanger it seems. EXCITED.
Manna Kadar Sunkissed Clam, Full Size, RRP £16
www.mannakadarcosmetics.com
A multi-tasker with handbag portability in mind, this product packs a gorgeous shimmery blusher & highlighter into one. Look how pretty they are! I'm glad this clam was included in this month's LKB as it's super shimmery & pigmented, but isn't something I'd have otherwise purchased due to the price. I think it's quite steep given the size of it - but once again, Little-Known Box's incredible value for money swoops in & saves the day.
The product itself is gorgeous and the ideal choice for a Sunkissed beauty edit [👏👏👏 to Helen @ LKB] and I really like it, and how versatile it is. Cruelty-free and paraben-free too, I am plzed.
Bonus item: a cheeky lil Seacret Spa Mineral Soap, Travel Size, RRP £4.80
www.seacretspa.com
All-natural, cleansing, portable AF, cruelty-free & paraben-free, you can't really go wrong with a lil bar of soap can ya? Perfect for ya holidays and packed full of that Dead Sea goodness I love so much.
And there we have it - another month, another bangin' edit of Little-Known Box. What was your favourite item in this month's curation?
