I can't believe it's #OrganicSeptember already... it barely feels like ten minutes since we were full-swing into these festivities last year. #OrganicSeptember - if you're not familiar with the term - is an annual campaign led by the Soil Association; which encourages us to change up our purchasing habits, swapping products & lifestyle choices for organic alternatives
This - in turn, raises our awareness of what we’re actually consuming and hopefully leads to continued changed habits. It’s a great way to promote & educate others about organic food & farming practices.
Antipodes are an amazing brand to shed light on as part of this month; many of their hero products are certified organic, beautifully luxurious, effective AF and cover skincare and makeup bases. Meaning making a change to their collection this #OrganicSeptember is easy, enjoyable & hopefully one you'll be able to stick to moving forward. This post contains a few suggestions of products you may enjoy; helping give you an introduction to the brand.
Antipodes is a cult New Zealand brand that creates scientifically proven skincare (via in-vitro testing) to provide outstanding results; particularly in the field of anti-aging. Every Antipodes product is tested in a controlled laboratory, with a small fraction of the final product being placed on human skin cells to closely monitor its effects. Hero products, such as their Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream, have been found to boost collagen production by up to 92%.
Antipodes is loved by the likes of Cara Delevingne [pls let it make me look like her!], Georgia May Jagger & Evangeline Lilly... and the brand is famous for using a large number of ingredients native to New Zealand in its products. These antioxidant-rich ingredients include manuka honey, mamaku black fern, pohutukawa, harakeke New Zealand flax & totara.
You can see why they're an ideal brand for #OrganicSeptember now, right?! So let's crack firmly on & get the inside scoop on some of the goodies in this post.
I love this Antipodes Certified Organic Grapeseed Butter Cleanser* in a biiiiiig way. It's one of my favourite products from the brand. It's a lovely, lux consistency that melts into the skin and smells HAWT - with small crystally blobs in it for exfoliating & cleansing purposes.
Designed to soften and moisturise, this Grapeseed Butter Cleanser combines nourishing cacao butter with soothing oils & quintessential Vinanza Grape® antioxidant from New Zealand's sauvignon blanc grape seeds. It helps repair free radical damage and is scientifically shown to have some of the world's highest levels of antioxidants from grapeseeds. Respect.
As well as looking proper glam [the packaging of these creams is so iconic & screams luxury, I've-got-my-sh*t-together-life to me] Antipodes' Hand & Body Creams are a dream. Seen here in the Joyful* & Delight* variants, these beaut lightweight moisturisers contain nutrient rich, natural oils to smother your skin in goodness & hydration.
With a gorgeous scented formula to boot. At £28.99 each they are a little on the pricier side, but they're so good [for you and the environment] that it's a price I would pay - for a gift or as a treat to myself. Even tho I'm tragically poor. Dedication.
Antipodes' Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum* [this bottle is a mini - you can't really tell from this pic, but it's soooooo cute!] is another certified organic lil hun to keep ya skin looking healthy. Again it's pretty pricey [IMO] but I'd rather pay more for something that works & is potentially gonna help us save the earth, you know?
This lux serum effectively defends human skin cells from free radical damage and inhibits oxidative stress by up to 90%. Oxidative stress shows in the form of weak skin that is prone to damage, with signs of early ageing. It can result from sunlight, wind, pollution, topical damage, poor diet & the natural aging process. And ain't nobody got time for that.
Antipodes Certified Organic Divine Face Oil* is an absolute staple in ya skincare routine huns. Tbh. It absorbs quickly & it's not greasy or heavy on your face at all. Rich in nutrients and antioxidants, this BABE utilises avocado oil to boost collagen production and synthesis by up to 51%; helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, age spots, and scars. It also nurtures the skin with essential fatty acids and key vitamins. I need to bathe in it.
Divine Face Oil is also enriched with rosehip oil which repairs parched and damaged skin with additional moisturising and conditioning benefits. The perfect nutrient treatment for daily use, this hun is especially ideal for those with dry and combination skin. Would bang.
And lastly - the bit I'm personally most excited about, the LIPPIES! Which [spoiler alert & insight into how terrible I am as a blogger and human] I'll be featuring in another blog post very soon. In even more shades. BUT YEAH. Antipodes do lipsticks and until recently, I had no idea.
They're really bloody good too; creamy, blendable, pigmented & long-lasting. These shades are West Coast Sunset* & Golden Bay Nectar* and they're proper huns. The red I'm especially fond of, as it isn't too warm-toned and therefore suits my cold-ass skintone [and heart] without making me teeth look pure yellow.
You can shop this amazing brand at Feel Unique, Look Fantastic & Beauty Bay... and whether you're new to Antipodes, looking to make some changes for #OrganicSeptember or needing to replenish your stash of goodies; I definitely recommend you grab your credit card[s] and TREAT YO SELF. This month - and all of the months.
Have you tried any of these lux organic beauties before? Are you as excited about the Antipodes lipsticks as I am?
