I've got something a little different for you guys today - involving  my hair, our boy John Frieda and about 3234 selfies; showcasing my crap pouting skillz & generally terrifying facial area.

Christmas is always a hectic time of year; with our diaries / so-blogger bullet journals crammed full of to do lists, Christmas parties, nights out and catch ups with friends & the fam. Everyone - no matter what your hair type or concern, can survive these festivities whilst looking fit AF, and to prove it - John Frieda have created the 12 Days of Frizz Ease challenge. 12 different Frizz Ease products, 12 different influencers [including little old meeee] and 12 different styles - like Zoella's 12 Days of Christmas calendar.. but a trillion times better.

My hair's changed a lot as I've got older. Another one of the joys of the ageing process. When I was full of youth, my hair used to be very straight and fine... but as I've progressed through the fossilisation process, it's become a lot thicker; with a cheeky wave through it. If I dry it with the hairdryer, it's not so bad, just very fluffy... [well, you can decide on that for yourselves, the photos below are the result of me blowdrying my locks after washing it LOL] but if I leave it to dry naturally; it goes full on POODLE

I've began reaching for John Frieda Frizz Ease products a lot more due to this evolution of waviness; to keep my mad mane under control. But anyway, before I proper digress off into wild tangents of the woes of getting older, as promised - as part of the 12 Days of Frizz Ease Challenge, here's my glorious 'Before' John's help mug shot - check out my fringe's Elvis quiff impression. What is my life.

So, step one in taming my Hagrid hair - I always start off with John Frieda's Forever Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner - these bad boys smell so friggin' fit and leave my hair feeling so sleek. I used to feel a bit like that Pokémon - Tangela post hair-wash before discovering these products; they have been a revelation in stopping my hair turning into unscheduled dreadlocks.

I'll then give it a brush through and dry it with the hairdryer I had to loan from bae [mine blew up] which results in the mad, mop-like waves you've now had the displeasure of witnessing in my 'Before' pics. But at least it's halfway there at this stage - yes, mad AF; but smooth [albeit fluffy], shiny and detangled. I then reach for the miracle product - the star of this post; my John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir*.

My hair laps this stuff up - it's a lightweight, non-greasy oil which smells fab; running the smallest amount through the lengths of my hair makes an instant difference to my frizz levels; leaving my locks more manageable, shiny AF and nourished - like it's had a proper rough hangover and has just had that all important glass of water that's brought it back from the brink of dehydration. It's like moisturiser for my mane.

Once you've worked it through [avoiding the roots] continue to style your hair as normal. You can leave it as it is, perhaps brush it up into a style, curl it or straighten it - no matter what you choose to do, your hair will be glossy, not frizzy / fluffy and much, much better behaved. The difference in my 'Before' and 'After' shots says it all, really.

Well guys - challenge accepted & accomplished! Photographic proof that if you have an Elvis-esque quiff - or fluffy, coarse looking locks that need a good slappin' down [I really hope you all read & pictured that as Ben Mitchell from that iconic Eastenders moment] John Frieda's Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir is BAE. So no matter how action packed your Christmas is shaping up to be, you can bank on having a good hair day, every day.

Have you tried anything from the Frizz Ease range before? Do you suffer from the dreaded Hagrid Hair syndrome, like me?
