Humidity hair. Two words that send chills down any girl's spine during the Summer months. I think we've pretty much all had our own Monica from Friends moment when it comes to the daily struggle of heat vs hair - I know I have. My hair makes me feel queasy sometimes - it's so fluffy and weird in the hot weather we're having at the moment. Looool.
Not to worry though, as I've recently found a secret weapon that really works in banishing this bad hair behaviour - and which also seems to detangle and smoothen my long, scarecrow hair better than any product I've tried before. And this miracle comes in the form of this trio from the John Frieda Frizz Ease Range. These babein' haircare products have totes got our collective [potentially sweaty] backs when it comes to humidity hair and Summer heat.
I haven't used a John Frieda product on my hair for years - and I'm now questioning every life decision I've ever made because bloody hell, these products are actual game changers; even on my straw-like locks.
My hair is pretty much a birds nest - it tangles within seconds thanks to home bleaches of the past and it takes a lot of conditioner, patience and detangling brushes to get it looking remotely human. However, even just the shampoo alone seems to somehow detangle my hair - which isn't something I've ever noticed with a shampoo before. Conditioner yeah, fair game - but shampoo?!! What is this incredible sorcery and why did no-one make me aware of it sooner?!
To begin the massive detangling mission that is cleaning my hair, I'll start off with the John Frieda Frizz Ease Forever Strong Shampoo* and Conditioner*. Ordinarily, my hair is so mental that I have to precondition it before even thinking about shampoo, but our boy John has sorted me right out with these products.
They smell gorgeous and work into a lovely soft lather within seconds. I also proper love their new look packaging - even the most grim of bathrooms [like the one in my student house with the cobwebs, blocked drains and mouse traps LOL] will look a million dollars with these displayed.
These Forever Smooth products work together to give a frizz-resistant, long-lasting finish. The shampoo puts the ground work in; leaving hair shiny and squeaky with cleanliness - and the conditioner finishes off the battle against frizz by smoothing your locks, making them more manageable. Something I can definitely vouch for.
Both products penetrate [lol, that word makes me giggle a bit every time I see it - y am I lyk 12] deep into the hair fibres to combat dry, damaged and / or frizzy tresses; building an internal barrier against humidity hair from within. The more you use it, the more immunity your hair will build against frizz - so pretty much just sign me up for life, pls John!
These babes are perfect for me; as they've been specially designed for medium-thick and wavy-curly hair types. My hair is quite thick these days and it's also developed a bit of a natural wave; which I do love, but it definitely needs some TLC to keep it looking nice [and not like an electrocuted poodle.] They're also great for use on colour-treated hair; again a massive tick in the box for me and my blonde-from-a-bottle status [fun fact, that's my second choice for a blog name if I ever get bored of LLL.]
I'm a massive fan of this new look John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength 6 Effects+ Serum* too - which I use after I've shampooed and conditioned my hair. Look how cool that packaging is - I LOVE how the product is in like, a little test-tube inside. I've found that this stuff really finishes the hair washing process off nicely; it detangles, smooths and controls my hair - leaving it shimmering with glittery blonde goodness. And health.
It's defo restored moisture to the dead, split ended joke that is the tips of my hair - and that's just within the first 4 weeks or so of testing it. To use, you just dispense a small amount into damp hair and work through; avoiding the roots and focussing on your ends.

If you have thick, long, dry, wavy hair that loves to betray you in the heat; I can't recommend trying this trio of saviours out enough. If you've ever watched my half arsed, swear-filled InstaStories you may have seen how much of a dreadlocky look my hair can adopt sometimes - and this has genuinely detangled huge parts of that; quickly, and encouraging it never to return, too.
