Imagine a world where you could just chuck ya razors in the bin & frolic around; hair free & care free. That is the sort of world I wanna live in. And potentially, I may have just found the key to unlocking its mystical front door, with this exciting Hair Growth Prevention Cream [for Body]* from Frénésies.
Body hair is a very personal preference - some people prefer to preserve it and others prefer to remove it. And both of these options are totally fine, it's your body and your decision; at the end of the day. I personally prefer eradicating all traces of the bugger... which is why this product - and the fact it's natural & not pure packed with bleach & chemicals, spoke to me so much. And why I'm here to speak to you sexy lot about it today. So buckle up for my first impressions, and prepare to put ya razors into retirement.
Frénésies worked with a bunch of proper babein' scientists to make this product of dreams a reality; coming up with a cream-based solution which is applied as part of a five-day treatment. The creams are based on herbal extracts that prevent the growth of unwanted hair by blocking the activity of proteins and amino acids responsible for hair growth. A combination of clinically proven, natural ingredients work together to block the hair growth action in the follicle, making the hair thinner, paler and ultimately entirely eliminated.
Fully tested in the EU, Frénésies' products have been proven to be safer, healthier and more effective than any other product or hair removal treatment on the market. And those are stats I like!
How to use:
- Don't use any other oils or creams 24 hours before treatment - or during the five days you apply the cream.
- Apply to clean skin.
- The hair has to be removed with its roots. The cream will ONLY work if the hair is removed with its roots. It's recommended that you remove ya uninvited body hair using wax to get the best results.
- On the first day of treatment, the cream should be applied immediately after hair removal; in an even layer which goes against the direction of hair growth. After that, you've just gotta remember to apply it everyday for the next 5 consecutive days!
- The entire treatment above (5 days) has to be repeated 2-4 times to stop all hair growth. Or in very rare cases, up to 6 times.
And BOOM. We'll be frolicking about hair-free in no time.
Frénésies' Body Hair Growth Prevention Cream boasts a unique formula, packed with natural actives; each selected & created to target unwanted body hair on areas of ya bod such as legs, arms and bikini line. And in addition to preventing future hair growth, this babein' cream also goes ahead and offers the perfect post-epilation solution for redness and discomfort.
Their innovative cream contains Salix Alba, also known as white willow, which provides a moisturising effect and is soothing and nutritious; as well as plenty of selenium [which inhibits unwanted hair growth by blocking the hair growth action in the follicle root.] After ya first to second cycles of treatment, unwanted hair growth is claimed to be reduced by approximately 60-80%. I've just completed my first treatment using it [which I decided to test out on the old bikini line department]; so I have approximately another four rounds to go until I can make a fair comment on whether it's managed to successfully banish body hair for good. And I won't be able to deal with the excitement if it does. I'll definitely end up buying about 234 pots of Frénésies and just bathe in it until I'm smoother than a baby's bum.
So although I can't give you a definitive answer on its effectiveness just yet, I can provide ya with the following insights & thoughts ; based off my Frénésies First Impressions:
- As previously covered, this product is to be used after waxing / epilating / threading for it to have the best effect against hair regrowth. As the nature of all of these removal methods is pretty much plucking out the hairs from the root it can leave you pretty sore - and ya skin dead red, sensitive & inflamed. However, this cream leaves a refreshing, cooling and soothing sensation when applied; which isn't something I've ever found with other products. Ever.
- It's perfect to use after a wax.
- It rapidly reduces redness, inflammation and after one application; skin returns to normal. Which is something I've never EVER been able to achieve before; normally there's pure tell-tale redness where I've waxed or epilated for a few days afterwards.
- The cream has a nice consistency - a little goes a long way. So you do definitely get value for ya money.
- I'm not mad on how the product smells, but it's definitely not unpleasant and totally tolerable... especially when you think of the results it's working to achieve! It's a menthol-y, Vix Vapour rub kinda scent; blended with an element of how some of the Nair range of hair removal creams smell.
- Hair regrowth is sparser, slower and finer even after just one treatment cycle of five days.
- It's perfect to use after a wax.

I'm very excited to continue my Frénésies treatment and see what's to come results wise. If this works as well as it's reported to, it could legitimately be a game if not life changer. I'll be sure to report back with the results.
At £220 per pot I will obviously be the first one to admit that THIS PRODUCT AIN'T CHEAP. However, if it works as effectively as it claims to, then I'd say that's pretty bloody good value. If you tot up the amount of time you spend each year de-fuzzing, the number of razors you've gone through, salon appointments you've had & nervous breakdowns before those wax strips are wrenched off... the saving this innovative product can offer you in terms of time & money is a no-brainer.
