Recently, I've been really enjoying trying out beauty products which not only make you feel good, but are actually good for my body as well. Stuff which is good for the environment we live in and friendly to the animals we co-habit the planet with, too. Products which are cruelty free, 100% natural and vegan friendly have firmly made their way into my heart and have made me think a lot more about the ethos behind the brands I buy from.

I've still got a long way to go in educating myself on these things, but thanks to blogging, I've been lucky enough to stumble across some amazing brands this year, who tick all these boxes - and more. One of the latest companies I've been testing out is Fresh Naturals; a fab little brand I found on Twitter and have fallen deeply in love with. I spoke to Fresh Naturals briefly about my skin and its oily-ass ways, and they recommended & sent me the products below; to help combat the shiny oil-slick situation that is my skin lately. If you're into stores such as Lush or The Body Shop, this post is totes for you.

Organic Tea Tree & Poppy Seed Soap*, £1.75

I full on love this soap, it's a game changer. And the price is totes amazing. Tea Tree is a great all-rounder for the skin; as it zaps spots, soothes sores, fights odours and relieves itching and inflammation. The added Poppy Seeds give a gentle exfoliating effect to this 100% natural handmade soap. I've been using this soap as part of my daily routine, keeping it in the buffer bag; as I have oily skin and feel the extra exfoliation the buffer bag gives me is useful. It smells amazing, lathers up really well and really stimulates the circulation in my face; leaving my skin looking really alive and fully exfoliated.

I also use this soap on my body, as during times of stress [pretty much everyday in my life at the minute] I sometimes get weird break outs and psoriasis patches on my body. This soap is the only product I've used in a long time which I feel helps; my skin feels squeaky clean and not at all oily after using this product. Which is a minor miracle.

Great for acne prone, oily and combination skin types. This stuff can be used as a weekly deep cleaning face mask by applying a thick layer, or a small amount daily instead of a face cleanser. I've personally been using it as a weekly face mask; to really cleanse my pores.

This mask smells unreal - it's just so fresh and rejuvenating. It's also a great, thick consistency; meaning that a little goes a long way [and I'm all about that value-for-money life.] I normally exfoliate first with the soap & buffer bag, then apply this as a face mask and leave it to work its magic for 5 minutes or so. Once you wash it off, your face is left feeling fresh, squeaky clean and totes reinvigorated.

Toner*

Well, this is a bit exciting. Fresh Naturals sent me some of this refreshing, tea tree infused toner to try [the finishing touch to my customised oil-be-gone experience] but it hasn't actually been released yet, so I'm one of the first people to try it! Hopefully it should go on sale in the New Year, and it's totally worth the wait.

After I've exfoliated and cleansed, I use this toner to minimise my pores. I actually think this has really helped my skin combat some of its oil issues, as I never usually would bother with toning. It leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed, as well as tighter. I'm excited to see what the released product looks like - it certainly has my stamp of approval and I hope Fresh Naturals make this a thing!

Aside from being insanely Instagrammable, this scrub once again ticks all the right boxes for dealing with my somewhat problematic skin. It's made from 100% natural ingredients and contains cooling and calming peppermint oils, which are perfect for easing sore muscles, balancing oily skin and keeping acne at bay. This couldn't sound anything more like me and my life if it tried.

To use it, you basically hold it under water for a few seconds, which softens up the top layer, and then rub the sugary residue over your skin [instead of an exfoliator.] The rough, exfoliating residue feels amazing on the skin and leaves you feeling surprisingly moisturised and super smooth afterwards. The scrub is freshly handmade with Corn Flowers, which are believed to soothe and firm mature skin [and I am knocking on a bit now, like] plus Cocoa Butter to moisturise.

I've really loved my experience trying out these Fresh Naturals products - as the name suggests, everything in their range is indeed so fresh and so natural - just like Lush [in my opinion] but much more reasonably priced. There is going to be a lot of Christmas presents ordered from these guys this year, I'll tell you that for free! Brace yourself, Mother!

If you want to find out more about Fresh Naturals, their ethos or their products, stalk their website or follow them on Twitter, like I do [by clicking here.] They're honestly one to watch - they have a selection of bath bombs, bath salts and skincare perfectly suited to everyone; at very reasonable prices. And yous all know I'm mad for a bargain or two.
