I can't afford to shop at Mac. Even shopping at Poundland is pushing the boat out at the moment. Brassic is an understatement for my current financial situation.
However, what's more fun than spending money you don't have, to cheer yourself up? Exactly, nothing. So with this philosophy firmly in mind, I splurged on some Mac bits that I totes couldn't afford, shouting YOLO as I hit the checkout button.
My credit card wept and no doubt my postman cursed and swore at me, as he had yet another parcel to deliver when I wasn't in. But I was triumphant. Here's what tickled my fancy and pushed me to the brink of bankruptcy this time [lolz.]
Ariana Grande, Viva Glam II Lipstick
I've been looking for a nice lilac-y lipstick for a while - a] Because Leah from Devoted to Pink blog had one on her Snapchat a while ago and she looked legit amazing in it and b] As I used to have a lilac MUA lilac lippy that I loved, but it died a melty death and I missed it.
It's pretty nice, yeno. Applies really creamy and longevity wise, it lasts for pure time. I'm excited to channel my inner Ariana and try out some different looks like this - and I think it looks okay. So did the creepy ass man in the shop, who said it was gorgeous and called me 'My Sweetheart' multiple times [think Golem from LOTR.] I'll showcase it in some of the Autumn / Winter lookbook posts I have planned for over the next few weeks.
Oil Control Lotion
I'm pretty excited to try this out and see if it helps me. Regular use of my Vichy clay mask, the Fresh Naturals skin treatments I'm trying out [coming to the blog soon] and my La Roche Posay cream [again, coming soon] have defo been helping the forehead oil slick situation - but my face needs all the help it can get really. Truth be told, I bought this on a bit of a whim, as I didn't know it was a thing.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Zac Posen Mascara
This elusive beast seems to have disappeared off the Mac website since I bought it. Was it a mirage? A trick? I don't know. I ordered this because I liked the look of its packaging [and it was also the cheapest mascara on the website] but I'm not actually that fussed on it. It's just an average mascara. Small wand, good for getting in there; but the for price, I was expecting minor miracles.
Like don't get me wrong - it works and I'll use it. It's just, normally when I buy a high end mascara, I can really tell the difference in using it when compared to my cheap high street dupes. And this just didn't impress me much *sassy Shania Twain hairflick.*
I did also pick up Mac's Diva lipstick in Duty Free the other week - but I'm so deeply in love with it, that I'm going to dedicate a whole post to its glory, so bear with me on that one. I've never worn a dark lipstick quite like it before, so I'm pretty much obsessed - and you will see it in like, every Autumn themed post I write. Ever. #SozNotSoz

Have you bought anything from Mac recently? Do you have any of this stuff - and if so, how do you find it? Do you have any Mac recommendations, or know of any cheaper dupes which do the same job [yous all know I go cray cray for a bargain]?
